Mi héroe y yo You are going to write a short children’s book in Spanish about you and your hero.  The idea of this book is to compare and contrast the two of you.  Since it is a children’s book, it should be colorful and full of illustrations and/or photos.  The format of the book is up to.  You can complete it as a slideshow (powerpoint, Google Slides, etc.), an actual book, or even in the format of a graphic novel.    Just remember to use to Spanish and do your best!  Your descriptions can be used from previous activities we have done.  In order for your project to be accepted, it must: 

­be good quality work (if written) ­have Spanish text only ­have illustrations and/or photos ­describe you and your hero ­be neat and organized

The student describes him/herself and their herousing a variety of characteristics (personality, physical traits, etc.).  The student may even attempt to use 1­2 new unlearned word successfully.  There are few, minor errors with the language.

The book is colorful and includes many illustrations and /or photos to help readers enjoy the book and understand its meaning. 

Meets Expectations (22.5) 

The student describes him/herself and their herousing a few characteristics.  The student may even attempt to use an unlearned word, but is unsuccessful.  There are some errors, but the message is understood. 

The book is of quality work. It may be hard to follow logically or read in 1 or 2 places 

The book is somewhat colorful and includes illustrations and/or some photos. 

Almost Meets Expectations (20) 

The student describes him/herself and their herousing only physical traits or personality traits. There are many errors, some of which cause it to be hard to understand. 

The book is not quality work.It is hard to follow logically and difficult to read in some places. 

The book has few photos or illustrations, much of the book was completed in black and white or just a pen or pencil. 

Does Not Meet Expectations (17.5) 

The student describes him/herself and their herousing only physical traits or personality traits. There are many errors or very little language andpossibly pages with no text on them. 

The book is of poor quality, difficult to read, and hard to follow in many places. 

The book has almost no illustrations or photos and almost no color.
