A Study on the Use of ICT in Mathematics Teaching

PERSOALAN

• How to overcome the barriers faced by the teachers during the integration of ICT into mathematical lessons.

• What are the ICT applications which are most commonly used by the teachers and how it is used in class.

• The author designed survey instruments.

• It was carried out during a mathematics on-service course by the State Education Department and the respondents were given briefing on the purpose of the survey.

• The 111 responses gained was analyzed using SPSS statistical package.

KAEDAH

• ICT applications in class which include graphical visualization tools and online demonstrations have educational values as well where it makes the teaching to be easy and being adapted by the students easily.

• The training should be made as an integral part of professional training.

• the devised programme which is the e-portal is proposed where it is user friendly.

DAPATAN KAJIAN…..

• As a result of implementing the e-portal the barriers can be reduced which will eventually make the use of ICT in teaching mathematics become more effective and improve the understanding of the students.
