Bridgeport Eco-Tech Park Project Components for Spring 2015:
This exciting, growing, and innovative initiative has many moving parts and lacks a body
of information and study that can be used to develop a public awareness, marketing
and communication plan. Initial efforts for spring of 2015 will be comprised of the
following work through UConn courses:
• LAND 4450 Landscape Architecture Capstone: District Mapping & Visioning
• LAND 3230W Environmental Planning and Landscape Design: Supporting research
and writing for work above in the form of Literature Reviews, Comparative Case
Studies, Land-based Eco-technology Research & Programming
• EVST 4000W Environmental Studies Capstone: Individual students will select topics,
based on their interests, for their capstone research paper that provide information,
analysis or examples to support the Eco-Tech Park development
• POLS 3412 Global Environmental Politics: One part of the class will work on policy
research with a global comparative emphasis to provide support for developing new
and needed local and state policy or examine policy problems in relation to the Eco-
Tech Park
