When I started studying theatre what most fascinated me was the deep “encounter” that theatre gives both with myself and with others persons and also the “encounter” of a group, as a collective. The personal and collective “encounter” giving with the power of transform. A progress due to the actor's work on himself.Approaching the end of my studies I took a firm decision: I wanted to go further in this way, discovering the tools, persons, groups and cultures that help me to get closely to this view. The name Teatr Piesn Kozla came quickly and I discovered this MA and what they proposed in it. I saw clearly that it is a place for me.
In Institut del teatre I’ve discovered ways and people who have already researched into this topic as Stanivslaski, Grotowski, Meyerhold, and many others. I have known professionals who have guided me through these investigations, professionals that are still researching like Pere Sais, Moreno Bernardi, Andreu Raich and Andrés Corchero for example. I worked with them in the school and I work with them out of it: Pere Sais in the laboratory Body - Voice - Action where I’ve been for three years working with tools discovered by Grotowski (e.g. physical training, singing chants, corporals); Moreno Bernardi in classes of body technique discovered by Meyerhold, Biomechanics of the body; with Andrew Raich in a laboratory based on Afro-Brazilian dances from Candomblé’s culture and an exercise from Grotowski called Motions. This works allowed me to make links between themselves and the work that I have read and heard from Teatr Piesn Kozla. I think that these trainings along with the good work done in the Institut del Teatre will allow me to make the most of this MA and will allow me to give to the group strength, energy, motivation and love for the work.
I have no longer any doubt that the work in theatre is onto oneself, onto ourselves, and to making a teamwork linked to creation and investigation. I firmly believe that in this MA I will go deeply in a real way through the art of the actor and the original sources where it came from. The approach of the master motivates me a lot and I love it, besides I have no doubt it will be fascinating and exciting and it can help me to make a quantum leap as an actor and as a creator. I feel that I will be able to find my own voice and the voice of the group. And that thrills me.In conclusion, I feel encouraged to come and decided to share this experience with you and I dare say it will be a very intense and rewarding experience for both parts.
