    IMPORTANT INFORMATION

    Please go through the prospectus carefully. The applicant has to submit application online

    using www.onlinesbi.com website. Basing on the information provided by the applicant, the

    university will generate application Form-‘A’-cum-Admit Card which the applicant has to download

    and submit to the invigilator of the concerned Examination centres while appearing at the Entrance

    Examination .

    After appearing at the Entrance Examination, the candidates should have to submit

    Form-‘B’ off line(by post) duly filled in, on or before the last date as furnished below along with

    required self attested documents and testimonials. The university is not responsible for any postal

    delay in receiving ‘B’ Forms and ‘B’ form received after due date shall not be entertained in

    any way.

    PROSPECTUS FOR THE SESSION, 2016-17

    1. ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY

    The Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) was established in the year

    1962 under the provisions of the Orissa Act, 20 of 1961 and has the triple functions of teaching,

    research and extension education.

    The University offers education at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels in

    Agriculture, Horticulture, Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering

    and Technology, Fishery Science, Home Science & Forestry in the semester system. Research

    and Extension programmes are carried out at the Regional Research & Technology Transfer

    Station (RRTTS) and/or Sub-stations/Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) located in different parts of

    the state.

    The University campus at Bhubaneswar is an academic complex of colleges and

    post-graduate departments, having highly qualified faculty. It has an agricultural research farm,

    a forest research farm, a dairy farm, a poultry farm, a Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex and

    an Engineering Workshop. There is a Central Library with a large number of books, periodicals,

    book-bank, e-library facilities for students. Besides hostel accommodation, the University has a

    health centre along with a sports complex consisting of playgrounds and a gymnasium with

    multigym facility.

    The University has Students’ Counseling Centre, University Employment Information and

    Guidance Bureau, Communication Centre, Research Farm, Instructional Farm, Instructional

    Live Stock Farm, Educational Museum and many more opportunities to advance the skill and

    talent of the students. Internet facility is provided to all the students admitted to professional

    courses.

    The graduates of the University have employment scope in private and Public SectorUndertakings, Corporate houses and Nationalized Banks besides Govt. Departments. Some ofthe enterprising graduates of the University have also started their own enterprises. There arealso Placement Cells in respective Colleges. Internet facility is provided to all the Colleges, Hostels,and Central Library.

    2. ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION

    2.1 Academic qualifications

    2.1.1 Students admitted into B.Sc. (Ag.)/B.Sc. (Hort.) / B.Sc. (Forestry) /B.Sc. (Home Science)

    without having Mathematics or Biology at the +2 level will have to make up their deficiency

    by taking pre-requisite courses in the subject (Mathematics / Biology) to be offered duringthe first two semesters.

    2.2 Admission is open to the following categories of candidates:

    i) Those who have passed H.S.C. / Equivalent Examination with Odia as M.I.L.

    ii) Those who do not have Odia as M .I. L. , but whose parents are permanent residents

    of Odisha must furnish evidence of such permanent residency in the form of a

    certificate from the Revenue Officer concerned not below the rank of Tahasildar /

    District Magistrate / their employer concerned ( as per clause 2.2(iii) ).

    iii) Those who do not have Odia as M.I.L but whose parents are not permanent residents

    of Odisha, but serving under the Govt. of Odisha/Central Govt. /Public Undertaking

    or any University in the State of Odisha. The candidate must furnish a certificate to

    this effect from the Head of the Office /Institution where his/her parent(s) is/are

    working.

    iv) Odia candidates permanently residing outside Odisha must furnish a certificate in

    support of their Odisha origin either from their Employer ( as per Clause 2.2(iii) ) /

    Tahasildar / District Magistrate of the District in which he/she is residing. Certificate

    to this effect can also be submitted from the Tahasildar / District Magistrate of their

    native place Odisha.

    No affidavit for the above categories shall be entertained .

    v) The above provisions, i.e. 2.2 (i) to 2.2 (iv), are not applicable to ICAR/VCI nominees/

    Foreign Candidates/State Govt. sponsored candidates/children of employees of

    O.U.A.T.

    2.3 The candidate must have completed 17 years of age by 31.12.2016 (Born on before

    01.01.2000)

    Reservation: ICAR/VCI - 15%, SC - 8%, ST - 12 %, GCH - 5%, Ph. Handicapped - 3%

    3.1 The seats reserved for SC & ST candidates separately are not interchangeable.

    3.2 The SC, ST (Certificate from the Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar), GreenCard Holders and Physically handicapped candidates with certificate from Medical Boarddepicting a minimum of 40% permanent disability / temporary disability certificate issued

    within maximum of two year prior to last date of Admission will be allowed to compete inreserved category based on their merit as per their choice.

    3.3 The reserved seats for SC & ST candidates, Green Card Holders, Physically Handicappedcandidates, ICAR/VCI nominees falling vacant after the due dates, shall be de--reservedand filled up by unreserved candidates on the basis of merit.

    3.4 For admission into B.Sc. (Hort.) nine (09) seats under general seats and six (06) seatsunder cost sharing seats shall be reserved for candidates of Western Odisha. Candidatesclaiming for such reservation shall submit the permanent residential certificate issued by aRevenue Officer not below the rank of Tahasildar of his/her native area. In case ofnon-availability of suitable candidates, the seats will be de-reserved.

    3.4.1 In the event of non production of all original required documents at the time of his /her termof admission / counseling, he / she will not be allowed to take admission .

    3.5 Over and above the intake capacity and subject to fulfilling the minimum eligibilityunder Clause 2.1

    3.5.1 15% of the seats be made available for Foreign Candidates, being sponsored by Governmentof India provided the candidates meet minimum eligibility criteria, possess valid documentsand agree to pay requisite fees at par with NRI Candidates.

    3.5.2 One seat will be made available for the Children of the Kashmir Migrants in each College.The candidate has to produce the domicile certificate from the District Magistrate, Govt. ofJ&K, in the Kashmir Division within whose jurisdiction his/her parents had ordinarily residedduring 1 st January, 1980 and 31 st December, 1989 by five years. Selection of the candidatesfor admission shall be based on the merit (Weighted Score).

    3.5.3 Ten (10) seats (Clause-3) in Agriculture/ Horticulture and Fishery shall be made availablefor State Government of Odisha Sponsored VAW/LVAW/Gardener/Fishery subject tofulfilling the minimum qualification of +2 Science, out of which 2 seats in each Collegesi.e. College of Agriculture, Bhubaneswar, College of Agriculture, Chiplima, College ofAgriculture, Bhawanipatna, College of Horticulture, Chiplima and College of Fisheries,Rangeilunda, Berhampur are available for admission. The names on seniority basisalongwith the place of study of the sponsored candidates be submitted by the concernedGovernment Department which should reach the Registrar, OUAT before the last date ofadmission.

    3.5.4 Two percent (2%) of total seats in each college(subject to minimum of one) will be reservedfor son and daughter of OUAT employees (both working and retired) over and above theintake capacity on cost sharing basis.

    3.5.5 Twenty five (25) seats are reserved for NRI Candidate for admission into U.G. Courses asover and above the intake capacity on cost sharing basis in different faculties such asCollege of Agriculture, Bhubaneswar (10 seats), College of Vety.Sci. & A.H., Bhubaneswar(05 seats), College of Agril.Engg. & Tech., Bhubaneswar (05 seats), College of Fisheries,Rangeilunda (05 seats).

    3.5.6 (FOR AGRO-POLYTECHNIC PASS OUT STUDENTS OF OUAT)

    For pass out students of Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic Course of OUAT, 10% of the intakecapacity of respective streams of Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic Course are kept reserved indifferent UG Courses, over and above the intake capacity of these discipline on cost sharingbasis.

    Seat breakup for different courses i.e. Agril./Hort./Fishery and Veterinary science & A.H.are 12 Nos. of seats in B.Sc.(Ag.) out of which 6 Nos. of seats each in the College ofAgriculture, Chiplima and Bhawanipatna,4 Nos. of seats for B.Sc.( Hort.) at College ofHorticulture Chiplima, 2 Nos. of seats for B.F.Sc.at College of Fisheries, Rangeilunda and2 Nos. of seats for B.V.Sc. & A.H. at College of Veterinary Sc. & A.H., Bhubaneswar.

    The selection of candidates for Admission into UG Courses as above, will be as per themerit list, which is to be prepared by computing their weigtage taking into consideration themarks secured in all three examinations i.e. 10 th, +2 Science and Diploma in Agro-polytechnic

    and marks secured in the Entrance Examination as per the ratio given belowa) H.S.C. - 10%

    b) +2 Science - 10%

    c) Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic under OUAT - 30%

    d) Entrance Examination - 50%

    Total - 100%

    A separate Entrance Test will be conducted for Agro-Polytechnic students carrying 200marks in objective(multiple choice) type questions in English medium of two hours duration

    from their respective Agro-Polytechnic stream.

    How to apply

    A candidate should access OUAT Website www.ouat.ac.in and download the ApplicationForm exclusively meant for Agro-Polytechnic Students, from OUAT UG Prospectus 2016-17“APPLICATION FORM FOR ADMISSION INTO UNDERGRADUATE COURSES 2016-17FOR OUAT AGRO-POLYTECHNIC PASS OUT STUDENTS “. He /She has to take a printout of Application Form .The downloaded Application Form dully fill in, along with selfattested photocopies of all the certificates and testimonials including mark sheets and

    Certificate of Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic ( as per Clause-6.2 of the Prospectus ) and theapplication fee Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand) only in shape of Bank Draft / BankersCheque in favour of “Comptroller, OUAT, Bhubaneswar” payable at SBI OUAT CampusBranch, Bhubaneswar, is to be sent by the Registered Post/Speed Post/Courier Serviceto the Director, Agro-Polytechnic, OUAT, Bhubaneswar-751003 so as to reach bydue date and time i.e.11.03.2016 to 20.04.2016 (5 p.m.). The top of the envelop shouldbe superscribed “ Application Form for OUAT UG Entrance Examination 2016-17 byDiploma in Agro-polytechnic Students ”.

    The Application Form received without application fee, enclosures or after due date will be

    summarily to be rejected and the candidate will be debarred for appearing at the EntranceExamination. The University will not be liable for refunding the application fees depositedby the candidate in what so manner other than the prescribed one or after the last date ofreceipt or due to any postal delay.

    The Entrance Examination for them will be held on 29.05.2016 at 10.30 am to 12.30 pmin Examination Hall of College of Agriculture, OUAT, Bhubaneswar. The Admit cardwill be issued to the eligible candidates by speed post. The result of the EntranceExamination will be displayed in OUAT website www.ouat.ac.in. The merit list will be preparedbased on weighted score for Admission into different UG Courses of respective streams.

    Candidates selected for counseling will be intimated by Registered Post/ Speed post asper their rank to attend the counseling for admission into UG courses.

    Other procedures, rules & regulations and fee structure shall be made applicable to themas per provisions of the UG Prospectus 2016-17 which may be referred to.

    Any further information in this regard will be made available in OUAT website from time to time.

    3.6 Candidates seeking admission under NRI Quota must fulfill the conditions under Clause-2.2shall be required to produce the photo copies of VISA/proof of permanent residentialcertificate and PASS PORT of themselves or of the sponsoring persons (Parents/nearestrelatives) which are valid till the last date of admission. The above photo copies should besubmitted to the Registrar, OUAT, Bhubaneswar along with a sponsorship certificate in theprescribed format (Annexure -III) from the sponsoring person and should be submittedalongwith Form –‘B’. The signature of the NRI sponsor must be same as in the passportand sponsoring certificate. Photo copy of VISA & PASSPORT should be submitted alongwith in its English version issued by competent authority form respective embassy/ consulate.The candidate should produce recent proof of Residentship of the NRI Sponsor such asElectric bill/ Telephone bill / Water bill etc. of the respective country where he/she is residingat present within last six month. A Non resident Indian (NRI) can Sponsor only one candidatein an academic year.

    4. SELECTION PROCESS

    There will be a COMMON ENTRANCE EXAMINATION for selection of the candidates foradmission into B.Sc.(Ag), B.Sc. (Forestry), B. Sc. (Horticulture), B.F.Sc., B.V.Sc. & A.H.,B. Tech. (Agril. Engg.) and B.Sc.(Home Science) courses. The candidates for admissionwill be selected solely on the basis of Merit (Weighted Score) which is based on his/herperformance of academic career, Entrance Examination and Extra curricular activities. Iftwo or more candidates secure the same computed score, the tie shall be resolved andtheir merit positions will be decided on the basis of higher marks in the Entrance Examinationor +2 Science or HSC/equivalent in that order

    The candidates seeking admission into B.Sc. (Forestry) Course should qualifyPhysical Endurance Test to be conducted one day before their respective day of thecounseling of each category, failing which their candidature for the admission intoB.Sc.(Forestry) course will not be considered. To appear at Physical Endurance Test, thecandidate should come with a certificate of Physical Fitness as issued by the medicalofficer not below the rank of CDMO within the period of 30 days with respect to physicalcapacity to undergo an endurance test of brisk walking of 25 km for male and 14 km forfemale within four hours and the candidates should posses the minimum physical standardas follows.

    ii) Female =74cm to 79 cm (Minimum 5 cm. expansion)

    3) Physical capacity for Fast walking in four hours :-

    i) Male = 25km ii) Female = 14km

    4.1 Entrance Test

    The Entrance Examination will be of objective (multiple choice) test for 200 marks of two hours duration and the medium of Examination will be English . The subjects of

    examination and marks distribution are indicated below.Subjects Marks

    Candidates are to answer Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology.

    4.2 Weightage to Academic Career and Entrance Examination:

    Weighted score of candidates will be calculated on the basis of his/her academic careerand Entrance Examination as given below:

    a) H.S.C. / equivalent - 25%

    b) +2 Sc. /equivalent - 25%

    c) Entrance Examination - 50%*

    Total - 100%*i.e. 1/4 th of the total mark secured in the Entrance Examination

    4.2.1 The H.S.C. marks without extra optional and +2 Science mark in Physics, Chemistry andMathematics/ Biology (whichever is higher) will be taken in to account.

    4.2.2 In case of candidates who have passed any of the examinations compartmentally/ improvement, the average marks of the 1 st and 2 nd examinations will be taken forcomputation of the weighted score.

    4.3 Candidates with outstanding records in extra curricular activities as detailed below will begiven extra weightage over the score computed from career marks and marks secured inthe Entrance Examination. The following percentage of marks under different extra curricularactivities of the students will be added to the computed score of the Academic Career andEntrance Examination to arrive at the final score.

    sports certificate. ORCandidates who have represented the 10%State in sports events recognized by Eligibility of a candidate is subject toSports & youth service department at verification of sports certificate byall India level. the Dean, Students’ Welfare, OUAT. ORCandidates who have represented the 5%

    School at the Inter School Sports Meet Eligibility of a candidate is subject tolevel. verification of sports certificate by theDean, Students’ Welfare, OUAT.

    N. B.:

    a. The students participating in games and sports event duly recognized and notified bythe Director of Sports for such purpose shall be eligible for the consideration to get theweightage.

    b. The students will submit a separate certificate on the participation in the games/sports,issued by the Director of Sports & Youth Services for taking the advantage of weightagein marks for admission.

    c. The students will submit a certificate issued by the School Games Federation of Indiawhich has to be countersigned by the Director, secondary Education for taking theadvantage of weightage.

    d. A student desirous of availing such concessions either in Games and Sports or in otherextra curricular activities must have achieved the distinction at the +2 level and certificateissued within two years before the last date of submission of application form.

    4.4 The ICAR/VCI nominated candidates/Foreign Candidates/State Government sponsoredcandidates for admission against reserved seats are not required to appear at the CommonEntrance Examination. They will be admitted as such against the Reserved Seats.

    4.5 The students except B.V.Sc. & A.H Course of this University who were detained in the 1stSemester of 1st year of any Undergraduate Courses due to shortage of attendance evenafter appearing the mid-term examination, shall have to apply afresh and compete with

    others for admission.4.5.1 Any student of B.V.Sc. & A.H. who are found detained before 1 st Annual composite

    examination due to shortage of attendance shall have to appear afresh and compete withothers for admission.

    4.6 Illustration for computation of weighted score

    If a candidate has secured 58% marks (excluding Extra Optional marks) in H.S.C./ equivalent, 67% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry andBiology in +2 Science and 123 marks out of 200 in the Entrance Test, his/her weightedscore is 0.25X 58+0.25 X67+ 0.25X 123 =62.00.

    5. HOW TO GET PROSPECTUS & APPLY

    5.1 The prospectus may be downloaded from the university’s website at www.ouat.ac.in.The candidates desirous of applying for the Common entrance test have to visitwww.onlinesbi.com and apply online before the scheduled date. For details pleaserefer Annexure-I. The applicant’s details will be available to the University only on successfulpayment of application fee. On successful payment a reference number is generated i.e.

    for example DU12345678 , printed on the e-Receipt, which the candidate may quote forall future correspondences if any with the University. For s ample copy of e-Receipt,please refer at Annexure-II. The data submitted online on this webpage will be used togenerate Form-‘A’-cum-admit Card, to be downloaded by the applicant from University’swebsite in between 07.05.2016 to 15.05.2016 (9.00 a.m.) in two copies and bring with him/ her without signature, while coming to appear at the Entrance Examination.     7. ENTRANCE EXAMINATION :

    7.1 Entrance Examination will be held at the places indicated in Clause-20 of this prospectus.

    7.2 Form ‘A’-cum-Admit Cards will be available at OUAT website www.ouat.ac.in from07.05.2016 till the date and time of Entrance Examination which may be downloaded bythe candidate for their use. No request for change of Centre will be entertained under any

    circumstance. The University, however, reserves the right to change the Centre preferredby a candidate, if required. No admit cards will be sent to the candidates separately.

    7.3 Entrance Examination – Discipline

    7.3.1 No Candidate will be allowed to enter the Entrance Examination Hall after 15 minutes ofthe commencement of the Examination.

    7.3.2 The candidate will be required to stay in the Entrance Examination Hall till the Examinationis over.

    7.3.3 They must bring with them a “BLACK/BLUE BALL POINT PEN” for marking the answersheet (OMR Sheet).

    7.3.4 No marks will be awarded for more than one response / answer for single question.

    7.3.5 Candidates are not allowed to bring mobile phone, calculator and other electronic gadgetsto the Examination Hall.

    7.3.6 Disfiguring of Answer paper in any manner or putting any sign/ identifying mark etc. willmake the answer paper liable to rejection.

    7.3.7 Adopting unfair means or indulging in any objectionable conduct in the EntranceExamination Hall will make the candidate liable to be debarred from the EntranceExamination.

    7.3.8 The candidates are to obey instructions of the Centre Superintendent and Universityauthorized officials at the Examination Centre.

    7.4 The Result of the Entrance Examination shall be available in the Website www.ouat.ac.inbefore issue of Intimation letter.

    8. ADMISSION

    8.1 A merit list of the candidates category wise will be prepared basing on the weighted score(as under Clause – 4) for all the U.G. Courses listed under the Sub Clause - 2.1 and will beuploaded on OUAT website. Admission will be made through Counseling to different U.G.Courses / Colleges (Clause -3) strictly according to the merit subject to eligibility.

    8.2 The intimation letter specifying the date and time of the counseling of the concernedselected candidates for appearing at counseling will be available in Website(www.ouat.ac.in) which may be downloaded by the candidates.

    8.3 Admission will be conducted by an Admission Board in a phased manner on working days.After the first phase of counseling subject to availability of seats, if required admission maybe made by subsequent spot counseling.

    8.4 Once a candidate exercises his/her option before the Admission Board for a particularCourse and is allowed admission into that Course, no changeover to another Course/centreshall be allowed thereafter under any circumstances.

    8.5 Eligible candidates interested for admission will have to appear before the Admission Boardon the date and time as indicated in the intimation letter and produce the Original Certificatesand Mark sheets as required under Sub Clause-6.2 and Sub Clause-8.7 for verification.Candidates who fail to produce the original certificates and mark sheets before the Admission

    Board will forfeit their claim for admission. No time shall be allowed for production of theoriginal certificates and mark sheets that determine eligibility and merit. A candidate willhave the option to choose any of the Courses listed under Sub Clause-2.1 for admissionsubject to his/her eligibility and availability of seats in that course.

    8.6 The candidates, who failed to appear before the Admission Board on the scheduled dateand time will automatically and irrevocably forfeit their claim for admission.

    8.6.1 Seats remaining vacant if any, after the usual counseling will be filled up from commonmerit list.

    8.7 Candidates selected for admission are required to produce the following documents at thetime of admission.

    b) Original mark sheets and certificate of H.S.C/ S.S.C./Equivalent from the Board ofSecondary Education/CBSE/ICSC as the case may be.

    8.7.1 All the admitted candidates need to submit an affidavit as per the UGC guideline on declaringof non indulging in ragging activities to their respective Dean/Directors/Associate Deanwithin 15 days from the date of admission.

    8.8 Candidates selected for admission failed to submit their College Leaving Certificate / ConductCertificate may be provisionally allowed to take admission on submission of an undertakingto submit the said documents within fifteen days following the date of admission, failingwhich their provisional admission will be forfeited. The candidates belonging to the University

    / Institutions of outside State will be allowed one month following the date of admission onthe same condition.

    8.9 Candidates provisionally admitted into any of the U.G. Courses without submission ofMigration Certificate will have to submit the Migration Certificate within 1 st Semester of1 st year, failing which they will not be allowed to appear at the 1 st Semester examination.

    8.10 The Sponsored Candidates of the State Government shall submit his / her relieve orderwithin a fortnight of admission at the latest, failing which his / her provisional admissionshall be treated as cancelled.

    8.11 All the candidates admitted into any Under-Graduate Course shall submit a Medical FitnessCertificate in the prescribed format (Annexure-IV) from a Govt. Medical Officer / Regd.medical practitioner not below the rank of Asst. Surgeon at the time of admission.

    8.12 The original documents like CLC, Conduct Certificate and Migration Certificate submittedby the candidates will not be returned to them in any circumstances .

    8.13 If a candidate belongs to more than one category, he/she can attend the counseling centreuntil he/she gets admission. A candidate can exercise his/ her option only once. His/hername will be deleted from the merit list, once he/she takes admission to any particularcourse, he/she will not be considered for admission subsequently.

    8.14 If a candidate for admission is found to have indulged in ragging and expelled in the past orif it is noticed later that he / she is indulging in ragging, the admission will be cancelled orhe/she will be expelled from the University / College.

    9. ACADEMIC SYSTEM

    9.1 The minimum residential period for Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering,Forestry, Fishery, Home Science will be four consecutive years, whereas it will be fiveconsecutive years in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.

    9.2 Course Programme, Instruction and Examination

    9.2.1 The instruction shall be offered in English under Course Credit System. For CourseProgramme of each Degree, syllabus has been formulated for different courses carrying acertain number of credit hours and spread over the number of semesters prescribed forthat course. An Academic year will have two semesters each having minimum 95 Net

    Instruction Days(NID).9.2.2 For Course Programme in B.V.Sc. & A.H., examinations for each course unit shall be

    conducted internally for 50 marks at the end of each semester and for the rest 50 marksexternally at the end of each year.

    9.2.3 For other Course Programmes, a Mid -Term Examination shall be conducted at the middleof the each semester and the final examination shall be conducted at the end of eachsemester for each Course Unit.

    9.2.4 The details of the method of Examination & Evaluation of students’ performance shall beexplained to the students at the time of “ORIENTATION PROGRAMME”. The CourseProgramme shall be regulated as per U.G. Semester Regulations.

    9.3. Attendance

    A student is required to have a minimum of 85% of attendance in each course, failing whichhe/she shall not be allowed to appear at the Final Examination and will be detained in thatsemester, subject to Regulation for condonation as indicated below.

    The Dean/Assoc. Dean/Director, on the recommendation of the Instructor / Advisorconcerned may condone shortage of attendance up to 15% in a course(s) in exceptionalcircumstances and allow such students to appear at the Final Examination on payment ofthe required fees. No condonation, even on medical ground, can be granted for shortageof attendance below 70% under any circumstances.

    10.2 After Admission into any College each student shall be required to apply to the Dean,Students’ Welfare (DSW) through respective Deans/Directors for accommodation into thehostels located at Bhubaneswar. However the students belonging to the College of

    Agriculture,Chiplima, College of Horticulture, Chiplima, College of Agriculture,Bhawanipatna and College of Fisheries, Rangeilunda shall apply to the Associate Deanconcerned and Director, College of Fisheries for their accommodation in hostel. However,if the parents / guardian are staying at above mentioned places, the students may apply toDean, Students’ Welfare for permission to stay outside the hostel.

    10.3 The University runs a Health Center and Physiotherapy Unit with Ambulance facility atBhubaneswar campus managed by qualified and experienced Doctors. It provides freeoutdoor treatments to students of the University in its Health Centre.

    11. STUDENT ACTIVITIES

    11.1 Each college will have a Students’ Union of the college to organize cultural and athletic/ sports activities.

    11.2 The Dean of Students’ Welfare looks after the extra curricular activities of the students.The University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau acts as a useful channel ofcommunication between the students and employment organizations.

    12. STUDENT DISCIPLINE

    A student, whether a boarder or day scholar, shall abide by the disciplinary rules andregulations of the Hostel, College and University and shall not involve himself / herself inany objectionable conduct such as violation of hostel discipline, disobedience of

    instructions of hostel authorities, immoral conduct or disorderly behavior including “ragging”.In case a student is found to be involved in any of the said undesirable activities, he/sheshall be liable for expulsion from the hostel and if the offence is grave in nature, also fromthe college.     Last date for payment of application fee is 20/04/2016. However, after 16.04.2016 payment modes viz.Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking options will not be available. After 16.04.2016 to pay application feegenerate a PAP form from State Bank Collect using Branch options and visit any SBI branch to depositCash/SBI Cheque.

    Please read the instructions carefully before proceeding.• Visit online banking website of State Bank of India by typing https://www.onlinesbi.com in the address

    bar of the internet explorer. Once the home page appears click on ‘State Bank Collect’ tab.• Accept the disclaimer clause and click on “proceed”.• Select the State of Corporate /Institution as ‘Odisha’.• Select type of Corporate / Institution as ‘Educational Institutions’ and click on ‘Go’.• Now select Educational Institution Name as ‘Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology’ and

    click on ‘Submit’.• Select the payment category as ‘UG Entrance Exam-2016’ from the drop down.• Now a blank form appears. Carefully fill in the details of the applicant. The data keyed in here will

    be processed by OUAT for the purpose of UG Entrance Examination 2016 and generation ofForm A-cum-Admit Card.     • Once, the required data is filled in, click on ‘Submit’.

    • The system will ask the applicant to verify the details entered and confirm in the next

    page. Verify the details and click on ‘Confirm’.• The system will request the applicant to select the desired payment mode for payment of

    application fees from various options. Please note that the bank charges for variouspayment modes are also displayed which is to be borne by the applicant. Carefully examinethe charges displayed since the charges for different payment modes are different .Select the desired payment mode.

    • Now the system will guide the applicant through the payment process. Once the paymentis completed successfully one e-Receipt is generated containing a Reference Number inPDF format. Take a print out . The candidates are required to carry it with him whilecoming to appear at the Entrance Examination. The applicant may also save this optionallyfor future reference. The e-receipt can also be regenerated / reprinted afterwards from‘Payment History’ link of ‘State Bank Collect’.

    • If ‘SBI Branch’ (cash/ cheque option) is selected as payment mode a Pre AcknowledgementPayment (PAP) form is generated which contains the relevant details for payment at anySBI Branch. The applicant takes the print out of the PAP Form and visits any SBI Branchfor payment though cash or cheque drawn on SBI Branch . After the payment issuccessfully processed by the SBI Branch, the SBI Branch will give an acknowledgment

    of payment on the PAP Form. Now any time the applicant may return to ‘State BankCollect’ link in the home page of www.onlinesbi.com for printing the e-receipt from the‘Payment History’ link as copy of this is required to be carried along while coming toappear at the Entrance Examination.

    NB : While paying application fees online, if the account is debited but e- Receipt is not generatedplease wait for two working days unless the last date is approaching before trying onceagain. This may happen due to failure in connectivity while paying. In all such cases the

    INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES FOR ENTRANCE EXAMINATION

    1. The candidates shall be present at the Examination Centre with admit card by 10 a.m. .2. No candidate will be allowed to enter into the Entrance Examination Hall after 15 minutes of

    commencement of the Examination.3. All candidates should continue to stay in the examination hall till the examination is over.4. Disfiguring of answer paper in any manner or putting any sign/ symbol etc. therein as identifying mark,

    will make the paper liable for rejection.5. Adopting unfair means or indulging in any objectionable conduct in the examination hall will make the

    candidate liable to be debarred from the examination.6. Use Black/Blue Ball Point Pen for marking the answer sheet (OMR Sheet).7. Mobile phones, calculator & other electronic gadgets etc.are strictly prohibited in the Examination Centre.8. Obey the instructions of the centre superintendent and University authorized officials at the examination centre.9. The request for change of city/centre of examination will not be entertained.10. Submission of Application Form-B is compulsory (see Clause No.- 6.2 of the Prospectus).N.B. : 1) Bring two copies of this admit card affixing photograph to the Examination Centre
