Hey kids, bring your parents down to the pond for a free fishing contest! There will be
howtofish clinics, casting contests, free snacks, and lots of prizes. Prizes will be given
away throughout the event with a special prize for the biggest fish. Bring your own bait
and tackle. The contest is for kids 15 and under, although everyone is welcome to fish
after 11 a.m. with a fishing license.

Celebrate Statehood Day with Historic Arkansas Museum and Old State House Museum. The museums will mark 179 years of statehood with "The Quest for Statehood: From The Delta To The Hills," a living history event at both locations.
Costumed interpreters will transform The Old State House and Historic Arkansas Museum into the daily life and work of people representing all sections of 1836 Arkansas with games, talks and handson activities.
Pick up a packet of clues about which historical figure you are, where you're traveling from and why you are in Little Rock on this special day; use these clues to complete a

"The Witt Stephens Jr. Central Arkansas Nature Center in Little Rock invites students completing the 5th8th grades to attend our fourday Discover Fishing Camp.
Fishing is a great way to learn new skills, connect with friends and family, and have a good time. Learn the basics and get started in a new outdoors activity by attending this fourday fishing daycamp. Habitat and fish identification skills, along with the
understanding of fish management techniques will be taught during the first part of the camp. Daycampers will then get to meet a fisheries biologist and visit a fish hatchery, giving them a look into the life of a conservationists. After finetuning their angling skills, campers will take to the water during a special fishing trip."

They combine martial arts with an age appropriate workbook. Their mission is to teach others the Gospel of Christ through martial arts. They want to teach others how to defend the mind, body, and spirit. Defenders of the Faith is run by Lucas Stewart. He has second degree black in Tangsoodo and a third degree belt in Kempo Jujitsu. They would love to have you join them for a few classes and have your children see if they like it! If they do, there is a start up cost of $50 for kids 36 years old and $80 for everyone else. This includes their uniform, class shirt, bibles and workbook. After that they just ask for $1 per class and they give that back to the church. There are no other monthly fees. All ages are encouraged to attend this free clinic. Runners will complete a variety of distances ranging from 50m, 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and 1 mile. The clinic teaches
runners of all ages how to properly warmup for activity, proper hydration, and good running form to prevent injuries.
