PORT OF MATAMOROS
Port of Matamoros sits on the Gulf of Mexico in the
northern part of the state of Tamaulipas, 50 miles
south of the Mexican/US border line.
Influence zone: Mexican Northern states of Coahuila,
Nuevo Leon, San Luis Potosi and Veracruz.
Proximity to major Gulf of Mexico deepwater projects
provides this port a strategic logistical advantage for
servicing those projects.
• To become Mexico’s first Port for deep water operations.
• To serve as a shore base for multiple offshore oil & gas support
service companies which will work in the Perdido Fold area.
• To support commercial and industrial business operations to
national consumption centers located within a 300 miles radious in
the north of México.
