PopCorn

Enjoy homemade, healthy popcorn made with steam in the Lékué PopCorn and try different recipes to make them more original. Native Microwave is a concept born after intense research carried out by Lékué and Alicia Foundation (www.alicia.cat) on microwave cooking. This study has led to launch a full range of products, conceived and designed with the specific aim of giving the best results for microwave cooking.

INSTRUCTIONS1 Take out the bowl and remove the lid. Add 50 - 75g (1/4 - 1/3 cup) of corn kernels. Use the lines on the bowl as reference. Add a tablespoon of oil and a pinch of salt or sugar for a better taste. 2 Replace the lid without putting pressure on it without fully sealing the bowl. 3 Place in the microwave on high (800W) from 2 - 4 minutes. 4 Remove from the microwave with the help of a trivet. 5 Remove the lid. Upon opening, watch out for the steam inside. 6 Enjoy different types of popcorn by following the recipes included.

RECOMMENDATIONSPlease note that the cooking of popcorn varies depending on the microwave and type of kernels used, usually from 2-4 minutes total cooking time. Begin by cooking 2 minutes. Check if the popcorn is ready and if not ready then cook for another 30 seconds, and continue doing this until the majority of kernels are popped. By doing this, you will establish the correct cooking time for your microwave.

50g = 1/4 cup: 2 - 4 min.75g = 1/3 cup: 2 - 4 min.

Corn kernels that have not popped can be cooked again in the microwave for 1:30 at 800W, always making sure to use the correct position of the product for cooking. It is normal for 10-15% of the grains of corn not to pop, depending on the variety and quality of the kernel.

Another trick to see if the popcorn is ready. Listen to the sound of the popcorn as it pops during cooking. The amount of popping will increase during the first few minutes of cooking. When this begins to slow down it means that the popcorn is ready!

There is no standard popcorn recipe for use with the Lékué PopCorn.
