Andrew Pollock, AIA

A native of New York City, Andrew Pollock attended theRhode Island School of Design where he earned his profes-sional degree in architecture. Prior to joining in partnershipwith Mr. Dickerson in 1990, he established himself as aSenior Designer at Kohn Pederson Fox Associates, NewYork. That position gave him considerable experience withlarge-scale commercial projects in America and internation-ally. In Australia, Mr. Pollock supervised the design andconstruction of Sydney’s acclaimed Chiefly Square Tower,one of the largest and most influential additions to that city’sskyline. In Paris, Mr. Pollock served as the co-designer andproject architect of the ten-thousand square-foot flagshipstore for fashion designer Jil Sander on Avenue Montagne.That project has since been featured on the cover ofArchitectural Record and has garnered awards for its mod-ernist design and dramatic lighting. Since cofoundingPollock + Dickerson, Mr. Pollock has concentrated on main-taining a successful balance of traditional building and mul-timedia design in order to contribute clear, innovative ideasto each new project. Mr. Pollock is a member of theAmerican Institute of Architects.

Jonathan E. Seils, AIA

Mr. Seils is a native to Washington, DC and received hisArchitectural and Business Degrees from the University ofMaryland. Mr. Seils brings more than seventeen years ofexperience as a project manager, field representative, andproduction Architect. He provides extensive expertise in theadministration and implementation of innovative construc-tion documentation, coordination and preparation. Projectsinclude high and low rise office buildings, retail shopping,hotel and conference centers, high security shielded officebuildings, laboratory projects, club work, multi and singlefamily housing, and a vast array of tenant fit-up. The use ofnew technology to improve the process from conceptualdesign to construction has been constantly refined toachieve the project goals.

Brian Dickerson, RA

Brian Dickerson was born in Boston, Massachusetts, andobtained his professional degree from Cornell University.Throughout the eighties he oversaw the design of projectsboth in the United States and Europe. As Senior Designerfor Marcel Breuer’s Paris Studio, Mr. Dickerson headed thedesign team for IBM’s Research Facility and AdministrativeOffices in Nice. Forming a partnership with Peter Cook in1987, he served as Design Principle for their Southamptonoffice. In that capacity, Mr. Dickerson exercised his designskills in a broad range of traditional building and experimen-tal design. He headed the conception and completion of anexperimental theater and gallery space in Soho, renova-tions, private residences and the design for a regional bankheadquarters in Bridgehampton, New York. Mr. Dickersoncofounded Pollock + Dickerson Architects in 1990. Mr.Dickerson contributes to Pollock + Dickerson his specialinterest and experience in historic restoration projects. Mr.Dickerson has recently completed the renovations of the historic Congressional Club in Potomac,MD as well as the Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte NC andthe Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, IL.

The utilizationof these technological processes can be seenin the creation of the projects included in thisbrochure.The range of recent completed projectsinclude sleek modern loft renovations in NewYork City, a designer showroom in Paris, andhistoric renovations of three club structureshave given the team a solid foundation fromwhich to build expectations. Broad experienceand the technological advantage allow for thedesign to be implemented as a coherentprocess which focuses upon pattern, color,line and shape would not be compromised bythe new speed and access of our currentenvironment. Managing the process is criticalto a successful outcome.

Architecture can still be understood asLe Corbusier described in its purest form as“the play of light on forms”. The traditionalpractice of Architecture is changing and weare working to be part of the best thesechanges represent.
