BUSINESS OVERVIEW

Programmed Group is a provider of staffi ng, maintenance and project services.

The Group directly employs more than 9,000 skilled and semi-skilled staff and tradespeople across a broad range of government and private sector industries in the resources, infrastructure, education, manufacturing & logistics, commercial/retail and tourism/recreation markets. Our ability to recruit and deploy staff is supported by an active database of some 60,000 personnel.

We provide services to over 7,000 customers, often under a long-term contract, across most industries.

We deliver these services through our extensive network of over 100 branch and offi ce locations throughout Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom and Singapore.

Our business model is built around our ability to recruit, retain and deploy a large directly employed workforce of professional, skilled and semi-skilled staff across a range of business capabilities.

The Group’s capabilities are delivered through fi ve operating divisions: Property Services, Facility Management, Workforce, Marine Services and Engineering Services.

BRIEF CORPORATE HISTORY

Programmed listed on the ASX on 1 October 1999. The Programmed business was established in 1951 in Victoria as a commercial painting business which, to this day, remains a signifi cant part of the Group. It increased its geographic coverage over the years, fi rst within Australia and then by moving into New Zealand in 1986 and the United Kingdom in 2000. Simultaneously, Programmed expanded into a range of complementary maintenance services (such as grounds maintenance and building services) and facility management.

In June 2007, Programmed merged with Integrated, one of Australia’s largest providers of staffi ng and

managed workforce services. Established in 1992 in Perth, Western Australia, Integrated has grown nationally over 17 years. The merger created a prominent Australian provider of staffi ng and maintenance services, with Programmed gaining access to a substantially enlarged workforce, enabling it to expand its off ering of services and its customer base.

In 2008, the Group’s project services capabilities were further developed with the acquisition of SWG, a specialist engineering services business based in Western Australia and Singapore.
