GRADE 11 AND 12 LEARNERS 1. Grade 11and 12 learners are the only learners who will be allowed to stay at home when they are not writing exams and come in only when they are writing. On the days that they write exams, they must be at school 45 minutes before the exam starts. No extra time will be allowed if a learner arrives late for an exam. 2. School will end at 12:30 on Thursday, 4 November 2010, for grade 11learners who start their exams on Friday, 5 November 2010. B. GRADE 8,9 AND 10 LEARNERS 1. Grade 8,9 and 10 learners must all report at 08:00 on each day of the exam period. 2. All grade 8 and 9 and the majority of grade 10 exams will end at 12:30. (Please refer to the timetable attached for the times of exams, which do not end at 12:30.) 3. Grade 8,9 and 10 learners not writing exams on a particular day, will be dismissed at 12:30. I I 4. School will end at 12:30 on Wednesday, 10 November 2010, for grade 8 and 9 learners who start their exams on Thursday, 11 November 2010. C. FURTHER REMINDERS 1. The rules and regulations regarding uniform and discipline remain the same during the exam period. 2. Learners need to bring all stationery requirements including a spare blue/black pen, in a plastic sleeve or see-through packet, to the exam venue.

EXAM CIRCULAR

A. GRADE 11 AND 12 LEARNERS

1. Grade 11and 12 learners are the only learners who will be allowedto stay at home when they are not writing exams and come in onlywhen they are writing. C. FURTHER REMINDERS

1. The rules and regulations regarding uniform and discipline remainthe same during the exam period.

2. Learners need to bring all stationery requirements including a spareblue/black pen, in a plastic sleeve or see-through packet, to theexam venue.

3. Learners are required to bring books to study from and paper tomakenotes. No magazines,cards or other gamesare allowed in thestudy/ exam room.

4. PHS loan books must be taken to the exam venue to be handed inon the day you write the exam. (If there is more than 1 exam in asubject, then a loanbook to be brought on the last day the subjectis written).

5. Should a learner not be able to write an exam due to illness, acourtesy call or e-mail ([email protected])by the parents on themorning of the exam would be appreciated. The doctor'scertificate, stating clearly "unable to write the exams", must beproduced on the first day back at school.

6. Daily and Sat DT will be as normaluntil 9 November 2010. Fromthe10 November 2010 daily DT will be from 12:45 until 13:45. Sat DTwill be as normal.

7. Attendance, after exams, until 10 December 2010 is compulsoryfor all learners.

8. Reports will be available on 10 December at 10:00 after finalassembly.(If there is a changein this arrangement with regard toreports you will be notified via SMS.

9. Any dishonesty during the exam,will result in a zero for the examin that subject.

D.CONCLUSION

It is that time of the year that manyparents panicabout th finaloutcome in December.Will they makeit? This is the question I

asked by so many.I believe that there are manyfactors that couldcontribute to various outcomes. In the final analysis we shouldponder these thoughts. It is not how you started the rcce thatdetermines the result; it is howyou finish the race that builds thecharacter to prepare for the future .Pleaseencourageour chiIdrenthat it is never too late to make the concerted effort as manypositive outcomes could still occur before the year comes to anend. I pray that all their efforts be rewarded accordingly
