At the beginning of every class period there will be an objective. You will know what you need to learn and be able to do based on this objective.

Pay attention in class.

Complete in-class practice problems.

Read your textbook.

Take homework seriously.

Take reviews seriously, prepare yourself for the test.

Use your resources.

Ask questions when you need help.

Come in for tutoring.

Test questions will be based on objectives, they will be similar to in-class examples and homework problems.

Show all your work, complete the problems the same way that you have seen them completed in class.

You will only have the period to complete the test, no extra time will be given.

What are the procedures for the beginning of class?

Be on time. Enter the room quietly and respectfully. Take your seat.

Write down the date, objective, and homework in your notes.

Have your homework out and ready to show me.

Quietly work on the warm-up problem.

Sharpen your pencil, take care of restroom breaks before class. Have your materials ready.

What do I do if I am having trouble completing the warm-up problem?

Use your textbook and notes to help.

If you still cannot find the solution, quietly ask someone next to you for help.

If time remains after you have completed the warm-up problem, either review your notes from previous lessons or look in the textbook for an explanation of how to complete problems involving that days objective.
