Message from Head office in Japan On behalf of APCAS Japan I would like to introduce myself and my organization to you. Our organization is situated in one of the four islands called Hokkaido.

Would you believe that the temperature on this island drops during the winter season to -10C° and we experience heavy snow rains? Though we are far away geographically,we are bound together always through our love for Sri Lanka. We are hoping to work together, committed towards a common objective in Sri Lanka, and will give the fullest support to overcome the challenges which stand in front you.

Thank you. Ito Shunsuke Secretary General

Message from Sri Lankan coordinator I experienced the grievances of the victims of Tsunami on the 26th when I was in Beruwela. In order to help those affected by disaster we started the Non Profit Organization called APCAS. We have launched several relief projects during the last 4 1/2years by collaborating with various people in society. Our journey has not been an easy one, and our future will also hold many

responsibilities. However, we are encouraged always by the solidarity among and around us, sharing sorrow as well as happiness and contributing to create a better society. It is our vision that an improved and peaceful society will become a reality. I will be very happy if we can walk together on the path of success by making social connections in the future also. Thank you. Ishikawa Naohito Sri Lanka coordinator
