PHẦN MỞ ĐẦU
1. Lí do chọn đề tài

3
phân bố khối lượng đối với trục quay; TN momen động lượng của vật rắn đối với trục quay; TN giao thoa sóng;

công trình khác nhau, chẳng hạn như “Experimente mit Kunstoffflaschen” Klettverlag Stuttgart – Leipzig (2007);
“Experimente 1& 2, Blechendose. Klettverlag Stuttgart – Leipzig (2008) của Hans-Joachim Wilke và G. Tronicke.
Hay “Qualitative experimente mit einfachen Mitteln, Uneversität Dortmund” (1996) của các tác giả D. K.
Nachtigall, J. Dieckhufer, G. Peters.
- Yếu tố quan trọng nhất của TNTT là làm bằng tay, bàn tay là phương tiện chủ yếu để tạo ra TN;
9
- HS nêu dự đoán hiện tượng TN xảy ra: Hai hộp tròn sẽ lăn xuống chân mặt phẳng nghiêng cùng lúc;
- Nhóm 1, nhóm 2 trình bày trước lớp về kết quả TN do nhóm tự thiết kế, chế tạo (Hình 2.2a; Hình 2.3a).

đúng với bản chất vật lí và điều khiển được các yếu tố tác động;
và linh kiện cần thiết; Bước 6. Gia công, chế tạo dụng cụ thí nghiệm;
Bước 7. Lắp ráp thí nghiệm; Bước 8. Tiến hành thí nghiệm; Bước 9.
Hoàn thiện thí nghiệm.
2.4.2. Sử dụng thí nghiệm tự tạo trong dạy học vật lí

kiến thức mới vào giải thích hiện tượng;
Thứ hai: GV hướng dẫn HS tiến hành TNTT, quan sát hiện tượng xảy ra và vận dụng kiến thức mới vào
giải thích hiện tượng;
- Tìm hiểu những thuận lợi và khó khăn khi sử dụng TN tổ chức hoạt động DH;
2.5.2. Phương pháp điều tra
Điều tra GV và HS ở trường phổ thông qua phiếu triều tra; Trực tiếp quan sát phòng thực hành TN vật lí ở
một số trường phổ thông và trao đổi với cán bộ quản lí phòng thực hành TN về tình hình TBTN vật lí lớp 12;
Trao đổi trực tiếp với GV, HS và dự giờ GV bộ môn.

Do đó, HS học tập

+ Hai hộp tròn sẽ lăn xuống chân mặt phẳng nghiêng cùng lúc;
+ Hộp tròn 1 sẽ lăn xuống chân mặt phẳng nghiêng trước hộp tròn 2;
- Đề xuất giải pháp: biểu thức momen quán tính I = mr2 (1); phương trình động lực học của vật rắn M = I.

mức ý nghĩa α và bậc tự do f = NThN + N ĐC - 2
- Nếu t t thì bác bỏ giả thiết H0, chấp nhận giả thiết H1.
- Nếu t t thì bác bỏ giả thiết H1, chấp nhận giả thiết H0.
Vận dụng công thức (2): 2 2
(831 1).1,67 (816 1).1,781,72
831 816 2S
22
Sau đó thay vào (1), 7,1 6,07 831.81612,15
1,72 831 816t
phân bố khối lượng đối với trục quay; TN momen động lượng của vật rắn đối với trục quay; TN giao thoa sóng;

INTRODUCTION
1. Reason to select the topic
We are living in the XXI century, a century that human knowledge is regarded as the decisive
factor to the development of society. To meet the increasing development of society, human resources
was considered the deciding factor, therefore this poses for education is to train new people have
sufficient quality and capacity; dynamic and creative to meet with the level of development of the society.
Wanted to require the education sector must have a comprehensive innovation about objectives, content
and teaching methods towards promoting a positive, self-reliance and creativity of students.
The objective of general education, teaching must promote positive, self-discipline, initiative and
creativity of students. That was detailed in article 28 of the law on education (2005): “The methods of
general education must to promote a positive, self-discipline, initiative and creativity of students; match
the characteristics of each class, subjects; fostering self-learning method, the ability to work in teams;
skills to apply knowledge into practice; the emotional impact, bringing joy, the excitement for students in
learning".
Situation of teaching physics in high schools now show, teaching physics knowledge for students
still heavily presentations, transfer of knowledge one-way, teacher only explains, illustrates, and
notifications of available knowledge, students just sit to listen, acquire knowledge and remembering a
passive way, still not yet focuses on harnessing the means of teaching and experiments in teaching.
Therefore to enhance the quality of education in order to train students to become the new workers to
meet the human resources for the career development of the country, at the 8th Conference the Party
Central Executive Board XI (Resolution No. 29-NQ/TW) on the basic of innovation, comprehensive
education and training and meet the requirements of industrialization-modernization in conditions of
market economy Socialist orientation and integration. Resolution specified: “Continued strong innovation
of teaching and learning method in modern teaching; promote positive, proactive, creative and apply
knowledge and skills of learners; overcome to impose entrance indoctrinated one way, memorize
mechanically. Focusing to teach how to learn, how to think, to encourage self-learning, provide the basis
for the self-updating and renewal of knowledge, skills, capacity development ... ". The resolution also
specified in the educational process must promote positive, initiative and creativity of students, students
must be active subjects of cognitive processes and proactive in occupying the knowledge.
Physics is an experimental science, the physics knowledge are drawn from observations and
experiments. The laws of physics or theoretical physics have also become physical knowledge when the
empirical verification. So, in teaching physics in high schools the experiment has always been a very
important role, with a great impact in improving the quality in occupying the knowledge and skills of
students. On the other hand, the necessity of experiments in teaching physics in high schools also also are
regulated by the rules of common perception of people that Lenin had pointed out: “From the vivid visual
to abstract thinking and from abstract thinking to vivid Visual”.
The part "Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced is relatively difficult, the phenomenon has
abstraction, so it needs to be visually in teaching process. However, the laboratory equipment of this
section in some high schools is limited, so to contribute to improving efficiency of teaching this section
we have chosen to study the topic: Constructing and using self – created experiments of activating
student’s cognitive activities in teaching physics of 12th grade advanced in part “Mechanics”.
2

in part “Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced.
- Proposing the process of using self - created experiments of activating student’s cognitive activities
and apply that process to design process of teaching some knowledge in part “Mechanics" 12th grade
physics advanced.
3. Scientific hypothesis
If proposing the process of self - created experiments and proposing the process of using self - created
experiments, on that basis to create experiments and use to organize cognitive activities for students in
teaching physics will promote positive for students in learning, thereby to contribute to improving the
efficiency of teaching physics in high schools.
4. Research tasks

8. Contribution of the thesis
In terms of theory
- Based on the study of the concept of self-created experiments, based on the characteristics and the
signs of self-created experiments, the author has clarified the catalepsy of self-created experiment and
classify self- created experiment.
- Based on the advantages of self - created experiments, as well as the requirements for creating
experiments and the purpose of using experiments in teaching, we have proposed the creating
experiments processes. This process is done in 9 steps, that is: Specify targets of teaching; Research the
3
lesson content; Learn situation facilities, laboratory equipment; Proposed, selected the plan of
experiments; Prepare the materials, tools and necessary components; Machining, fabrication of
experiment instruments; Experimental assembly; Conducting experiments and complete experiments.
- To be able to effectively exploit the self-created experiments in teaching physics to positive
perceptions of the operation, we have proposed the use of self-created experiments procedures to organize
the student’s cognitive activities in teaching physics. In this process we have shown how to use the self-
created experiments in the different stages of the process of teaching, that is: use in the proposed
problem; use in problem solving and use in consolidating and applying knowledge.
In terms of practical
- Based on the process of self-created experiments proposed, we conducted to design and
manufacture 9 experiments in the part "Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced, that is: Experiment of
stationary wave; Experiment records harmonic oscillator graph; Experiment of conservation angular
momentum; Experiment surveys cycle oscillation of the pendulum single; Experiment of the moment of
inertia of the solid depends on the distribution of mass on the axis of rotation; Experiment of angular
momentum of solid on the axis of rotation; Experiment of wave interference; Experiment of resonance
phenomena and experiment of wave reflection.
- Use the process of using self-created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive activities in
teaching physics proposed and experiments were built, we conducted to design 7 teaching process in part
"Mechanics" 12th grade advanced. The learning process in general and self-created experiments in
particular has been conducting teaching pedagogical pratice in high schools in Dong Thap province and
the first step has affirmed the feasibility and effectiveness of this experiment in the stimulation of learning
interest, promoting positive perception of students in the teaching process and contribute to improving
students' academic results.
9. Structure of the thesis
Besides the introduction, conclusion, references and appendices, the contents of the thesis consists of
4 chapters:
Chapter 1: Overview of the issue
Chapter 2: Theoretical bases of construction and using self-created experiments of activating student’s
cognitive activities in teaching physics in high schools.
Chapter 3: Constructing and using self-created experiments in teaching physics of 12th grade advanced in
part “Mechanics”
Chapter 4: Teaching pedagogic practice
Chapter 1. Overview of study issues
1.1. The experimental study on self-created experiments and and using self-created experiments in
teaching physics
1.1.1. The study abroad
In the world, nowadays people were interested to three trend extraction, using experiments and
visual aids in teaching physics, that is: the trend of modernization; Multimedia trends and research,
exploitation and using self-created experiments.
4
In the world, the study in designing, manufacturing and using self-created experiment was
interested very early by the economics and efficiency of it in teaching. This type experiment began to be
interested by the educators in Canada, which organized by "Les petis desbrouillads" pioneer, then
develop to many other countries such as: Germany, France, the USA, China, Romania ... The objective of
the study is aimed to create and using experiments towards enhancing the visual in teaching process and
practice skills experiments for students, through experiments were made by the students with the
materials easy to find in life. At the International Conference held at the University General of Cairo,
Egypt discuss topic: “Simple experiments, low costs and illustrations in teaching physics”, there are a lot
of reports mention the role and potential of this type of experiment in teaching physics in high schools. In
Asia and Oceania, the issue of DIY in teaching are conducted with the sponsorship of UNESCO in
“Reformation of education program to develop” under the title "Development of inexpensive teaching
equipment".
In Germany, there were many authors interested to sudy about self-created experiment as: Hans-
Joachim Wilke; D.K Nachtigall; G. Tronicke… These authors have invested in research on types of
experiments and has published the results of research in many different projects, such as: “Experimente
mit Kunstoffflaschen” Klettverlag Stuttgart – Leipzig (2007); “Experimente 1& 2, Blechendose. Klettverlag
Stuttgart – Leipzig (2008) của Hans-Joachim Wilke và G. Tronicke. Hay “Qualitative experimente mit
einfachen Mitteln, Uneversität Dortmund” (1996) of the authors DK Nachtigall, J. Dieckhufer, G. Peters. In
this projects the author has created and guide how to use experiments in different parts such as:
Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical, Optical... Most of the experiments are self-created simple experiments
were made from materials easy to find such as: cans, bottles of mineral water... In addition, there are
many authors such as: j. Duit, w. Kamel Wassef; M. El-Khishin; N. K Gobran also interested in research
on this issue.
The current trend does not just stop at self-created simple experiments that people are increasingly
interested in self-created complex experiments. Author Simon Fridrich Klaus, in the subject of his
doctoral thesis was created some experiments to teach for the blind and the experiments were built quite
elaborate and complex.
1.1.2. The domestic study
In Vietnam, in recent years has also had many the studies of the educator, teaching theoretical
research on self- created experiments as: Nguyen Thuong Chung, Pham Dinh Cuong, Nguyen Hung Lieu,
Le Van Giao, Ha Van Hung - Le Cao Phan, Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Dong Thi Dien… The author has
studied self creating experiments and using self-created experiment in the different purposes: using self-
created experiments as a means to positive the cognitive activities of students; using self- created
experiments in detecting and overcoming false views of students; using self- created experiments as a
means of support in teaching organization: tectonics teaching, group teaching, teaching projects...
In the work of thesis “The study of students ' conceptions about some physics concepts in optical
section, Electrical and teaching those concepts in junior high schools” of Le Van Giao author, the
author has studied a systematic about the conception of students in teaching general and conception of

1.2. The problem to be solved for thesis
Over time and with the development of science, the catalepsy of concept of self-created
experiment was developed and expanded. At present, self-created experiments is not only the simple
7
experiments, low costs that it is possible the complex experiments and modernity. Therefore to be able to
understand more fully about the kind of experiments in teaching physics to harness and use effectively in
the teaching process, in research about self-created experiment need to create greater clarity in terms of
the catalepsy meaning of this concept and classification.
Self-creating experiments ensure the scientific, pedagogical, feasibility and develop its role in the
teaching process, especially the cognitive activities of students in teaching physics the self-creating
experiments and using in teaching organizations need to follow a certain process, therefore it is needing to
study the proposed the process of self-created experiments and proposing the process of using self -
created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive activities in teaching process. Based on the
proposed process, manipulate that process self-creating some experiments in part "Mechanics" 12th grade
physics advanced and use to organize the cognitive activities for student in teaching physics. The part
"Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced has the content knowledge is relatively difficult, abstract
properties compared with cognitive abilities of students, so it needs to be directly observing through
experiment. Besides, the laboratory equipment in high schools of this section lacks and limitations.
Therefore, the study of construction and using self-created experiments in teaching this section is very
necessary, feasible. With this research, the problems posed for the subject of the thesis is to solve the
following problems:
- Needing to clarify the catalepsy of the concept of self-created experiment and classify self-
created experiment.
- Proposing the process of self - created experiments and apply that process self-creating some
experiments in part "Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced.
- Proposing the process of using self - created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive
activities in teaching physics and apply that process to design the teaching process in the positive
direction of the student’s cognitive activities in teaching some knowledge in part "Mechanics" 12th grade
physics advanced.
Chapter 2. Theoretical bases of construction and using self-created experiments of activating
student’s cognitive activities in teaching physics in high schools
2.1. Cognitive activity of students in teaching physics
2.1.1. Cognitive processes of students
Cognitive activity of students in teaching physics also underwent three stages like the cognitive
process of human, that is: cognitive of feeling, cognitive of intuition and cognitive of practices. Three
stages has a relation with each other. Inside, cognitive of feeling is the first stage of the cognitive process.
In this stage it helps people form the feeling, intuition and symbol of the things, phenomena, as the basis
for the process of the next cognitive is cognitive of intuition.
Cognitive of intuition is called thinking, the stage reflect the properties inside the nature of things
the phenomenon, relationships with regularity and cognitive of intuition is expressed in such forms as:
concept, judgements and deductive. So, in teaching physics for students to understand the nature of the
phenomena to come to a phenomenal concepts, judgment, deductive in the cognitive process requires
students always to perform the manipulation of thinking such as: analysis, synthesis, compare... and
8
cognitive actions such as: determining the nature of things, finding the causes and determine the
relationship.
The final stage of the cognitive process, which is aware of the practices. Cognitive of practices has
the role of testing knowledge acquired. Thus, the practice is not only the starting point of cognitive, role
factors crucial to the formation and development of cognitive but also where perception is always aiming
to test the correctness of it. So that the practices is basis, motivation, purpose of cognitive and the
standard to check the truth.
In fact of teaching, the physical phenomenon are very rich, diverse and complex. So in the process
of teaching physics, students can self operate and dominate the knowledge, teachers should train students
with physical actions cognitive, such as: Observing the natural phenomena, identify the properties outside
of things, phenomena; Analyze a complex phenomenon into a simple phenomena.
In cognitive activity of Students always occur two manipulators: manipulation material and
manipulate thinking. Manipulation material, that is: recognize by the senses; Use the measuring
instruments; Doing experiment (layout, assembly, operating equipment)… manipulate thinking includes:
analysis; synthesis; compare; abstraction; generalization; specification; inductive inference; deductive
inference and similar inference.
2.1.2. Organize the student’s cognitive activities in teaching problem solving
In the process of teaching to promote the positive cognitive of students, we have to find out the
problematic situations in teaching, the phases of the teaching process of problem solving.
2.2. Positive the cognitive activities of students in teaching physics
In the process of teaching to enhance the quality and effectiveness of teaching and help teachers get
to know students have positive or not, we have studied the concept of positive properties, Positive the
cognitive activity, the positive expression of cognitive and measures to promote the positive cognitive of
students in teaching physics.
2.3. Self-created experiments
2.3.1. Concept
In the process of study to design, manufacture and self-created experiments in teaching physics, the
author has taken the various definitions of self-created experiments.
According to Hans-Joachim Wilke author (Germany): “Self-created experiment is the experiments
are used in teaching physics and self-created with the materials and popular tools in daily life”.
The author h. Joachim Schlichting, c. Berthold, d. Binzer, m., h. Herfert Hilscher, j. Kraus, c.
Möller ... for that: “Self-created experiment is the experiments are created with means primarily by hands
with the material in daily life”.
According to Le Cao Phan author: “DIY experiment is the experiments are performed by teacher or
students with the materials easy find out, low costs, locally available, consistent with the circumstances of
the school and students”.
Dong Thi Dien author also say: “Simple experiment is the experiment which the fabrication of tools
experiment requires less material, easy to manufacture tools experiment and machining construction
materials easy layout, manipulate and not spend a lot of time”.
The above definition has content and different expressions but have in common is:
- The most important element of self-created experiments are made by hand, the hand is means
primarily to create experiments.
- The materials use to design, manufacture experiment is the popular tools and easy find in daily life.
9
Over time and with the development of science, the self-created experiment was developed and
expanded. At present, self-created experiments is not only the simple experiments, low costs that it is
possible the complex experiments and modernity. Therefore, we can understand: “Self-created
experiments are the experiments from simple to complex was created primarily by hand from raw
materials, equipment, components common in daily life and are used in the teaching process”.
2.3.2. Classify self-created experiments
2.3.2.1. Self - created simple experiments
Self - created simple experiments are the experiments was created from materials, popular tools and
easy to find such as: beer cans, bottles of mineral water, wood… Self - created simple experiments often
are qualitative experiments. People also can call self - created simple experiments are simple, low costs
experiments.
2.3.2.2. Self - created complex experiments
Self - created complex experiments are the experiments was created from popular tools, combined
with the mechanical, electrical equipment and popular components (resistors, LEDs ...), there is the
process of machining, fabrication complex.
2.3.2.3. Self-created modern experiments
Self-created modern experiments are the experiments was created in which there is to use the
equipment and modern electronic components such as: microcontrollers, electronic circuits, circuit
boards, LED 7- segment... These experiments are often the automatic equipment.
2.3.3. The advantages and limitations of self-created experiments
Advantages
- Contributing to enriching the visual media, thereby visualizing the phenomena and physical
processes.
- Ease of fabrication (for self-created simple experiments): materials, instruments and components
easy to find, the means used to simple machining without complex skills.
- Condition to perform the experiment: not strict requirements about infrastructure such as: electric
network, classroom Department... so it can conduct at different high schools.
- The arrangement and conduct experiment is simple, not spend a lot of time.
- The results of experiment: clear, easy to observe, attractive and stimulate interesting in learning of
students; Closeness to the phenomena in daily life
- Easy operation: assemble, disassemble the parts of instruments experiment.
- Easy transportation, preservation and safety in manufacturing as well as in the process of
conducting experiments.
- Promoting positive, self-competence and skills practice experiments for students such as: propose
experiments; Experiment layout; Conducting experiments and handle the results of experiments;
Designed and manufactured experiment to illustrate the knowledge acquired.
Limitations: Besides these advantages, self-created experiments also have certain limitations, that
is the limit of the aesthetic and durability. These limitations are due to the instruments experiments are
handcrafted and machined by hand, not produced by technology lines. The limitations on the construction
are handcrafted and machined by hand, not produced by technology.
2.3.4. Self-created experiment in positive the cognitive activities of students in teaching physics
Self-created experiments contribute to stimulate interesting in learning physics of student
10
In teaching activities, the positive of the students involved and influenced by factors such as: needs,
motives and interested. Therefore in teaching physics, want to stimulate the interest of students the use of
self-created experiments in organizing the cognitive activities for students must create an surprise,
unexpected, the results of experiment contrary to predictions of the students then the underlying factors of
students such as: curiosity, curious, hyperactive of students will impact. Through it will stimulate are
interested in learning physics of students in class hours.
When teaching the lesson “The equation of solid dynamics around a fixed axis” 12th grade physics
advanced, teachers use self-created experiments to propose problems problems to be studied in order to
stimulate interest in learning physics of students as follows:
Teacher introduces the experimental instruments, arrange laboratory experiments as (Figure 2.1a)
and outlined the steps conducting experiments. After that, teacher requests students to predict
phenomena occured before conducting experiments.
Students predict phenomena of experiments mentioned occured: Two round box will roll down the
inclined plane at the same time; The round box 1 will roll down the inclined plane before the round box
2; The round box 2 will roll down the inclined plane before the round box 1.
Teacher conducts experiments for students observation, the results of experiments: The round box 1
will roll down the inclined plane before the round box 2 (Figure 2.1b), contrary to predictions of the
students and creating an surprise and unexpected for students, through it will stimulate are interested in
learning of students in class hours.
Figure 2.1a.b. Experiment of the moment of inertia of the solid depends on the distribution of mass on the
axis of rotation
Self-created experiments a means to promote self-reliance and creativity of students
In the process of teaching to promote self-reliance and creativity of students in learning
activities, the assignment and guide the students design, manufacture experiment to verify the
knowledge acquired is a creative activity, demanding on high self-awareness, self-reliance of
students, therefore it’s very well in the positive the cognitive activities of students. The design,
fabrication experiment requires students to apply the knowledge learned into practice in order to propose
and select the plan of experiments, on the plan of experiments selected students will search the materials,
laboratory tools needed; self machining, manufacturing instruments experiments according to the plan
selected; then assemble, conduct experiments and explains the phenomenon of experiments. These
activities have contributed to the promotion of positive cognitive and practical skills training for students,
increase interest in learning of students and especially ensure the confidence of students for physics
knowledge. The use of known knowledge to explain the results of experiments requires students to
mobilize the knowledge which in many different parts of the program. Thus, the quality of students'
knowledge is advanced.
For these experiments were designed, fabricated by students when organizing teaching activities in
class, teachers should arrange the time for students to present to the class about the results achieved.
11
For example: after teachers assigned to each group of students and guide students how to design,
manufacture to illustrate knowledge “moment of inertia of the solid depends on the distribution of mass
on the axis of rotation”. When organizing teaching activities in the classroom, teachers should take the
time for student groups report to the class about the results of experiments by the student groups designed
and manufactured.
Group 1, group 2 presentation to the class about the results of experiment was designed and
manufactured by the student groups (Figure 2.2a; Figure 2.3a). Then, conducting experiments to illustrate
the knowledge acquired and apply knowledge learned in explaining the phenomenon of the experiment
(Figure 2.2b; Figure 2.3b).
Figure 2.2ab. Experiment of the moment of inertia (designed and manufactured by group 1)
Figure 2.3ab. Experiment of the moment of inertia (designed and manufactured by group 2)
Self-created experiments contribute practical skills training for students
Physical awareness activities have a very tight relationship with practical skills and experiment is
one of the important means to promote positive awareness, practical skills for students in teaching, when
students have practical skills, the student will participate actively in the learning process in the class as
well as at home. So in teaching physics, the use of self-created experiments in organizing teaching
activities require self-reliance of students in the experimental plan proposed; assembly and manipulate
conducting experiments; Processing the results of experiments; Use the measuring tools. Thereby
contributing to the practical skills experiments for students.
Self-created experiments in test evaluation of knowledge, skills and artifice of students
In teaching physics, the use of experiments examine and evaluate the practical skills of students
based on the following criteria: Determine the purpose of the experiment; Arrange and conduct
experiments; Collect and process the results of experiments; Propose the plan of experiment.
The test evaluated of skills to apply knowledge of students can be conducted on the class or activity
self-study of students at home. In teaching physics, if self-created experiments are used to test the
evaluation skills to apply knowledge into practice of students based on the following criteria: Observe
and explain the results of phenomenon occurs; Layout and perform experiments under the guidance of the
teacher; Propose the plan of experiment to test knowledge acquired.
If self-created experiments are used to test the evaluation skills to apply knowledge into practice of
students in activity self-study of students at home based on the following criteria: Proposals are plans for
experiments; Machining, fabricated instruments experiment; The presentation is assembling, conducting
experiments; Collecting and processing the results of experiments.

2.4. Self-creating and using experiment in teaching physics
2.4.1. Self-creating experiment
2.4.1.1. The requirements for self-creating experiments
In terms of science
- Self-created experiments are constructed to ensure when conducting experiments must succeed,
creating clear phenomenon, true to nature of physics and control the impact factor;
- The process of designing and manufacturing need to apply new achievements in science; having
compact structure and convenient in the process of use (removable, arranged and conducted the
experiment); Ensure safe in use, easy to repair, preserving and transporting.
In terms of teaching
- Self-created experiment can be used in the different stages of the process of teaching as: proposed
problems to study, formation of new knowledge, reinforce and apply knowledge
- The results of the experiment must be associated with the content of the lesson, appearing at the right
time in the teaching process, at the same time the results of experiments must be used for the purpose of
teaching sensibly, logic and not forced; must be have short time, reasonable and the result immediately to
ensure on time of lessons.
- Creating the conditions for students to promote cognitive activities within and outside school hours
through the proposal and selected the plans for experiments, machining and tool manufacturing to
illustrate the knowledge acquired.
In terms of aesthetic
The laboratory instruments of self-created experiments must have a size large enough, ensure for
students in class observing to help students easily monitor the evolution of experiments phenomenon to
be able to draw the necessary conclusions; Have the appropriate colors and beautiful appearance attracted
the attention of the students, especially the need to highlight parts need to observe.
In terms of Economics
Self-created experiments are constructed to ensure low costs
through use of materials, tools, components are available and easy to
find in daily life.
2.4.1.2. The process of self-created experiments in teaching physics
Through research, we realize that the process of self creating
experiment could be performed under 9 steps: Step 1. Specify targets
of teaching; Step 2. Research the lesson content; Step 3. Learn
situation facilities, laboratory equipment; Step 4. Proposed, selected
the plan of experiments; Step 5. Prepare the materials, tools and
necessary components; Step 6. Machining, fabrication of experiment

- Before conducting experiment, teachers orient students to the phenomenon need to observe.
Determine the student's task in observation or conducting experiment. For the quantitative experiments,
students must to set up the table of value measured before conducting experiments, processing the results
of experiments and draw conclusions about the signs, the relationship of the nature of phenomenon. For
quantitative experiments, students utterance the results observed and apply new knowledge to explain
phenomena.
- Clearly define the tools of experiment need to use, assembly diagrams, steps conducting
experiments. Needing to check the operation of the tools experiment before the lesson carefully,
proceeded to try the experiment many times to ensure when conducting experiment must succeed.
- When using the experiments to organize teaching activities must comply with the safety rules,
avoid the feeling of fear for each student when conducting experiments.
2.4.2.2. Organize the student’s cognitive activities in teaching physics with the support of self-created
experiment
Using self-created experiment in the stage proposed problems
In stages opening the lesson, self-created experiment are considered the media proved very effective in
the proposed issues to be studied in order to stimulate excitement, keen to find out the cause, the nature of
things the phenomenon. The use of experiment in this stages can perform in the steps followed: Introduces the
experimental instruments and laboratory layout; Outlined the steps conducting experiment; Based on the
knowledge, experience, availability of students, teachers request students to predict phenomena mentioned
before conducting experiments; Conducting experiments for students to observe phenomenon; From the result
of experiment, teacher suggests and guides the students said issues to be studied.
Using self-created experiment in the stage of problem solving
In this stages, two way to perform, that is: the Inductive way (using experiments to form knowledge)
and the interpretive way (verified knowledge by experiment).
- If using experiment to verify knowledge, teacher conducts experiments, students observe the
collection and processing of data. Then, the teacher orientation, helping in the formation of new
knowledge.
- If using self-created experiment to verify the knowledge acquired, teacher guides students go to new
knowledge by the way of theoretical inference: guiding students to propose solutions to solve the problem
by relying on the knowledge already know, How to apply the knowledge already knew. Then, teacher
conducts experiments to verify new knowledge acquired: guiding students to determine the content of
knowledge needed to conduct experiment to test; layout and conduct experiments and guiding students to
draw conclusions about the results of experiments.
Using self-created experiment in the stage of reinforce and apply knowledge
In the stage of consolidation and and application of new knowledge to explain the phenomenon,
self-created experiments could can be used in three ways:
The first: Teacher uses self-created experiments to conduct experiments, request students to
observe the phenomena occured and apply new new knowledge to explain phenomena;
The second: Teacher guides students to conduct experiments, observing the phenomena occured
and apply new new knowledge to explain phenomena;
The third: The teacher guided and tasked for students at home itself proposed and selected the
plans for experiments; search for laboratory instruments; machining, tool manufacturing; conducting
experiments to illustrate the knowledge acquired.
14
The use of self-created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive activities in teaching in part
"Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced can be summarized through the following diagram:
2.5. Situation of teaching in part "Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced
Assess the status of the teaching in part "Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced, we have
surveyed 54 teachers and 630 students in 5 high schools in Dong Thap province.
2.5.1. The purpose of the investigation
- Learn the main teaching methods of teachers when organizing teaching in part "Mechanics" and
the situation of laboratory equipment in high schools; Learn designing and manufacturing experiment to
service for teaching physics.
- Learn the advantages and disadvantages when using experiments to organize in teaching
activities.
- Learn the effectiveness of the use of experiments in teaching physics for learning activities of
students in during class hours (excitement, actively participate in building lessons, ...).
2.5.2. The method of investigative
The investigation of teachers and students in high schools through the questionnaire; Directly
observed lab physics experiments in some high schools and exchange with officers manage lab
experiments on the situation of the 12th grade physics laboratory equipment; Direct exchanges with
teachers, students and observe teaching hours of teacher physics.
2.5.3. The results of the investigation
Diagrams 2.2. The process of using self-created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive activities
in teaching physics
15
The results of investigation on the status of teaching in part "Mechanics" shows:
- The laboratory equipment the "Mechanics” are equipped with relatively complete according to the
category of prescribed minimum of ministries, but the quality is not guaranteed. So the use in teaching
difficult.
- Teaching methods that teachers use in teaching the "Mechanics" is primarily a presentation
method. Therefore, students learn passively, without the opportunity to participate in the process of
seeking knowledge, so students are not interested in learning.
- The organizational forms of teaching activities for students not yet diverse, rich and use a flexible
way should not create a dynamic learning environment, lively and exciting.
- A teacher division slow to reform, teachers still use traditional teaching methods (transmitting
knowledge one way), so don’t promote positive perceptions of students in the learning process. - In reinforce lessons, teachers often use format notice, reproduction the knowledge of students is
mainly, less organized learning situations to stimulate excitement for students in during class hours. - If using experiments, teachers use only these experiments has been provided according to the
category of the minimum of ministries. Teachers very little create experiments to use in teaching caused
by: The quality of laboratory equipment is not guaranteed, degradation should results not accurate;
laboratory equipment missing synchronization; The preparation of experiment takes time.
- Teachers are given that using self- created experiments in teaching physics is essential to contribute
positively cognitive activities of student. However, many teachers also said that failure to regularly create
experiments are due to spend lots of time, difficulty in finding tools and manufacturing experiments.
- The point of view “What exam, teaching something that” is also quite popular in many teachers and
students. while the examinations don’t pay attention to experiments and test practical skills of students in
teaching physics should teachers and students often underestimate the role of the experiment.

4.2. The results of teaching pedagogic practice
The results of teaching pedagogic practice for stage 1
In terms of qualitative results
- Initially, when the organization teach some knowledge as the process was drafted in teaching
pedagogic practice, students are crestfallen, passive and boldly raised the experimental phenomena
predicted imminent but in teaching pedagogic practice next, the students have more boldly raised the
anticipation phenomenon.
- In the previous lesson the students are passive and not bold in implementing the learning tasks as:
explain the experimental phenomena has just observed and make a contribution in discussion
groups,…then in the period lessons after the students had more boldly and active in fulfilling the task of
learning.
- The air of teaching practice class are more lively, students study more concentrating and excitement
than comparison (C) class it reflected by the speech times to participate in constructing the unit.
- In teaching practice class the physics thinking of the students are developed than students in
comparison class. Because in teaching pedagogic practice class the teacher always uses self - created
experiment to organize the student’s cognitive activities as: proposed research problems to open the
lesson, problem solving, reinforce and apply knowledge. Therefore to dominate the knowledge students
must perform the physics thinking tasks such as: observing, collecting information and data processing,
analysis, comparison… thereby physics thinking of the students are developed.
23
The results of teaching pedagogic practice for stage 2
To assess the quality of a student's knowledge in teaching pedagogic practice class and comparison
class, teacher conducts for students to perform two 15 minutes tests and a 45 minutes tests form of
objective test questions. The purpose of the tests compare the academic performance of students in
teaching pedagogic practice class and comparison class, then conducting to establish the statistical table
of results the test point and use the specific statistical parameters to calculate.

Based on the calculations above, especially from General table of statistical parameters (Table 4.4)
and cumulative graph lines (Graph 4.1, Graph 4.2), we draw the following review:
- The average point of the teaching pedagogic practice class are higher the comparison class.
- Coefficient of variation of the teaching pedagogic practice class are smaller than the comparison
class, it demonstrates the dispersion value point of the teaching pedagogic practice classes are smaller.
- Cumulative line of the teaching pedagogic practice class is located at the right and bottom than the
comparison class, it demonstrates the quality of the students in the teaching practice class is better.
The results of teaching pedagogic practice demonstrate the learning outcomes of the teaching practice
class are higher the comparison class. However, study results have higher reliability, data must be tested
statistically.
Statistical hypothesis testing:
To answer the question: the learning outcomes of the teaching pedagogic practice class are higher the
comparison class it's indeed by the new teaching methods or not, we continue to analyze the data by the
method of statistical hypothesis testing.
For this we test the hypothesis H0: Difference between and does’nt have statistic meaning, in
other words there is no difference between the two forms of teaching.
H1 hypothesis: Difference between and have statistic meaning (if organizing the student’s
cognitive activities in teaching the "Mechanics" of 12th grade advanced by helping of self-created
experiments will contribute to improving the quality of learning and teaching effectiveness).
We calculate the quantity F: with , if F > Fα difference between and does’nt have
statistic meaning, with .
-With the level of meaning α = 0,05 and degrees of freedom f = 831 – 1=830 and f =816 – 1= 815,
distribution table F investigations have critical value Fα = 1,26.
So from the calculation results, we see F > Fα the differences of the two variance and does’nt
have meaning. So we calculate quantities t-test according to the formula:
With
After calculating the t of value, we compare the t of value found with critical values in
table ' student with α significance level and the degrees of freedom of f = NTP + NC-2
- If t t rejecting the hypothesis H0, accepting hypotheses H1.
- If t t rejecting the hypothesis H1, accepting hypotheses H0.
25
Use the formula (2): 2 2
(831 1).1,67 (816 1).1,781,72
831 816 2S
replaced by (1): 7,1 6,07 831.816
12,151,72 831 816
t
The degrees of freedom of f = NTP + NC - 2 = 1645, distribution table’ student investigations with the
level of meaning α = 0,05, we have tα = 1,96. Compare t and tα we see t > tα the difference between
and have statistic meaning. So rejecting the hypothesis H0, accepting hypotheses H1.
After using the methods of mathematical statistics to handle teaching pedagogic practice allows us
to draw the following conclusions:
- Students in the teaching pedagogic practice class mastery of knowledge than the students in the
comparison class.
- The use of self-created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive activities in teaching
physics was actually contributing to the positive cognitive activities for students, thereby contributing to
improving the quality of student learning and effective teaching physics in high school.
CONCLUSION
Collating for the purpose, the task of research, the subject has solved the following problems:
1. In terms of theory
- Over time and with the development of science, the self-created experiment was developed and
expanded. At present, self-created experiments is not only the simple experiments, low costs that it is
possible the complex experiments and modernity. Therefore, through research we has clarified the
catalepsy of self-created experiment and classify self-created experiment: self-created simple
experiments; self - created complex experiments and self-created modern experiments.
- Based on the advantages of self - created experiments, as well as the requirements for creating
experiments and the purpose of using experiments in teaching, we have proposed the creating
experiments processes. This process is done in 9 steps, that is: Specify targets of teaching; Research the
lesson content; Learn situation facilities, laboratory equipment; Proposed, selected the plan of
experiments; Prepare the materials, tools and necessary components; Machining, fabrication of
experiment instruments; Experimental assembly; Conducting experiments and complete experiments.
2. In terms of practicality
26
momentum of solid on the axis of rotation; Experiment of wave interference; Experiment of resonance
phenomena and experiment of wave reflection.
- Based on the process of using self-created experiments to organize the student’s cognitive
activities in teaching physics proposed, we conducted to design 7 teaching process in part "Mechanics"
12th grade advanced in the positive direction of the student’s cognitive activities. To organize of the
student’s cognitive activities in teaching physics with the support of self-created experiments effective,
promote a positive perceptions of learning students in the teaching process was designed must to ensure
the following requirements:
+ Creating surprise, unexpected; the contradiction in perceptions of students intended to stimulate
curiosity, the excitement of learning and at the same time enabling students to reveal their misconceptions
for teachers to find how to fix and repair.
+ Creating a friendly classroom atmosphere for students in the proposal predicted the phenomenon,
solve learning task (observation, conduct experiments and explain the phenomena) and apply knowledge
learned into practice. These activities have contributed to the positive perception of the operation of
students in learning.
3. The results of teaching pedagogic practice
- The self-created experiments are designed, manufactured and used to organize the cognitive
activities for students are the means necessary for the formation of knowledge, test the correctness of
knowledge; skills and techniques, stimulate the excitement of learning but also contributes to the overall
personality development of students. This indicates that, the self-created experiments are designed,
manufactured is feasible and effective in the process of teaching physics.
- The teaching process with the support of self-created experiment is reasonable, suitable for the
content of the lesson and the ability of students ' perceptions. The learning situation with the support of
self- created experiments are used by teachers and take out at the right time makes learning lively and
students excited to perform the task of learning. In each stage of the process of teaching as: proposed
problems; problem solving; consolidate and apply their knowledge to the positive perception of students
expressed through activities such as: proposed predicting the phenomenon of research imminent;
conducting experiments to test; apply their knowledge to explain the phenomena; designing,
manufacturing experiments by themself to illustrate knowledge acquired.
- The results of the statistical calculations showed, the learning outcomes of the teaching pedagogic
practice class are higher the comparison class. After using mathematical methods for statistical hypothesis
testing, we see the value t>tα the difference between and have statistic meaning. So rejecting the
hypothesis H0, accepting hypotheses H1. The results of teaching pedagogic practice obtained with the
subject have sufficient basis to affirm the use of self-created experiments to organize the cognitive
activities for students was actually contribute to improving the quality of learning and effective teaching
physics in high schools.
4. Some recommendations
To use self-created experiments to organize the cognitive activities for students in teaching the part
"Mechanics" 12th grade physics advanced in particular and other parts of physics program in high schools
generally efficiency to require the efforts of the educational management level and teachers of physics in
high schools, specific:
- The educational management level needs to regularly launched emulation movements self-teaching
materials for teachers in high schools. To encourage teachers constructing and using self-created
27
experiments in teaching but must ensure in accordance with the requirements of the design, manufacture
and use experiments in teaching physics.
- Organize training and fostering the skills of experiments practice for teachers, encourage the
teachers strongly to apply positive teaching forms in teaching physics.
- There are appreciation, noted on the construction and use self-created experiments in teaching
physics.
