KATA PENGANTAR
Puji syukur penulis ucapkan kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Kuasa yang selalu
memberi rahmat serta karuniaNya, sehingga penulis mampu menyelesaikan
perancangan serta penulisan tugas akhir berjudul “Perancangan Sistem Pengukur
Panjang Produksi Galvalum Menggunakan Sensor Rotary Encoder di PT. Kepuh
Kencana Arum” ini, sebagai syarat kelulusan di Fakultas Teknik Elektronika dan
Komputer Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana.
Penulis juga mengucapkan terima kasih kepada berbagai pihak yang telah secara

ABSTRACT
Productivity monitoring is important in a business because the data obtained
becomes a reference. Lack of monitoring in production can lead to several losses such
as errors in recording by officers or manipulation of data carried out by workers that can
harm the company. PT. Kepuh Kencana Arum monitors every process that the forming
machine does manually, starting from the opening of the base material (galvalume) to
producing a product form (Wave Roof, Hollow). Therefore, the system design is done
in this thesis to meet the monitoring needs of PT. Kepuh Kencana Arum to be able to
monitor the productivity of each machine in each city in real-time. To fulfill one of the
back-end parts in the Telemetry system, the final project was made using Arduino UNO
as a microcontroller. Arduino UNO here works as a tool to facilitate monitoring of
forming machine performance (yield / number of products) by utilizing readers of
sensors that have been installed in the forming machine accurately and precisely. From
the results of the tests that have been carried out, the use of Arduino UNO can monitor
the performance of the forming machine by reading the rotary encoder, push button,
limit switch installed on the forming machine using an optocoupler circuit. By using a
rotary encoder optocoupler circuit, push button, the limit switch on Arduino UNO has
errata below 2%.
