Pepco and Delmarva Power’s Maryland commercial and

industrial customers are eligible for CASH incentives for projects that reduce electric consumption

• Commercial account holders are eligible

• Multi-Family Buildings with commercial meters for common areas and/or individual units

• The Trade Ally Network is available to

assist with the technical needs of Pepco

Commercial Kitchen Equipment

We offer cash incentives for upgrading to new energy efficient

ENERGY STAR® qualified electric equipment for food preparation.

If your business has refrigeration, installing energy efficient equipment

and controls on existing or new equipment can help you reduce energy

costs, enhance equipment reliability, and improve your bottom line.

• Anti-sweat heat controls: coolers and freezers

• Reach-in door closer: coolers and freezers

• Strip (thermal) curtains for walk-in coolers or freezers

• ECM evaporative fan motor: display cooler and/or freezer

• Evaporator fan controller on existing shaded-pole meter

• LED lighting in reach-in cooler case and/or freezers

• Occupancy Sensors for lighting in reach-in cases: cooler and/or

freezer -

• Vending Machine Controller: refrigerated units

Commercial Refrigeration Equipment

Specialized Controls

The use of occupancy sensors and personal controls in offices, hotel

rooms, and other types of facilities can provide energy savings by

preventing lights and other office equipment from consuming

electricity when not in use.

Custom Projects

• One-time incentive at the rate of $0.16/kWh of one year of projected

savings. Current building codes or equipment performance comparisons

will typically be used as the baseline

Energy Savings Study Incentives

• Up to $1,000 for a Walk-Through Energy Assessment

• Up to $20,000 available for buildings of 25,000 square feet or larger and

greater than 2 years old when measures are implemented

• Benchmarking with EPA’s Portfolio Manager required

Custom Projects

& Energy Saving Studies

Multiple Measure-Type Bonus

Earn a 10% BONUS INCENTIVE by installing multiple measure-types

in the same facility

• When two or different measure-types are completed from this list:

- Lighting Fixtures & Controls - Specialized Controls

- HVAC, including chillers - Custom Measure

- VFDs - Full Retro Commissioning

- Commercial Refrigeration - Commercial Kitchen

Equipment

• The 10% BONUS INCENTIVE is applied to the prescriptive measures

• The second project must be completed within 6 months of completion

of the first project

• The bonus incentive may not exceed the smallest incentive from

qualifying projects

Small Business Program

• Small businesses, non-profits, faith based, or institutional customers

that register a maximum monthly demand of 100 kW or less over the

last twelve months in a building are eligible for this program

• Walk-Through Energy Assessment will be provided by the Program

– Once low cost and no cost measures are completed, customer is

eligible to receive the enhanced incentives

• An approved Trade Ally must be used for the Walk-Through Energy

Assessment and implementation.

Small Business Program

Prescriptive measures - a pre-determined set of prescriptive measure incentives

defined on a dollars-per-unit basis.

• Lighting measures: the incentive will be designed to be approximately 80%-

90% of the Program-estimated installed cost for each measure

• VFD and Refrigeration measures that cost less than $2,000: the incentive will

be approximately 80%-90% of the Program-estimated installed cost

• For more expensive VFD and Refrigeration measures, the incentive will cover

40%-50% of Program-estimated installed costs

• Packaged HVAC incentives are approximately doubled from those offered to

non-small business customers

• Custom measures are eligible for incentives of $0.30 per kWh/yr saved. The

incentives support up to 80% of the installed cost, and are offered on

measures with payback periods of at least 6 months. There is no minimum

energy savings requirement

Multi-Family Program

Common areas in Multi-Family properties: eligible for all incentives

Residential units in multi-family buildings with master electric meters: eligible

for incentives to purchase appliances and equipment such as

• ENERGY STAR® appliances, central air conditioners, air-source heat

pumps, packaged terminal heat pumps and room air conditioners

- Building must be a commercial account with a master electric meter

- Offered in Pepco territory only

The Quick Home Energy Checkup is available

to all residents

• Process to fix a wide range of energy efficiency issues within an existing

building. Mostly low and no cost project recommendations

– 4 phases; $0.15 per sq ft

• Retro Commissioning Plan development - $0.02

• Executing the Plan - $0.06

• Implementing recommended measures - $0.05

• Continuing commissioning $0.02

– Incentive will not exceed 50% of cost

• Requirements

– 75K sq ft minimum

– Customers are required to use approved RCx Trade Allies

– Benchmarking required

New Incentives

• Occupant Training

– Deployment of occupant awareness programs – 50% up to

$5,000

Benchmarking

• The Benchmarking Initiative

‾ Program will facilitate EPA’S Portfolio Manager training webinars

for customers and trade allies

• Tuition Incentives for approved training courses

• 80% of cost - up to $1,000

• Offered to building operators, managers, and other personnel who

influence energy efficiency decisions and physically work in a facility

located in Pepco Maryland or Delmarva Power Maryland service

territories

• Training is to optimize the operation and maintenance of buildings

systems resulting in electric energy savings

• All applications must be pre-approved prior to taking the course

Training

Same offer for Customers with Existing Buildings - available to customers

with new additions and major renovation projects

Operations & Maintenance Training

• The Program will provide incentives to cover 80% of cost, up to $1,000 of

enrollment fees per course for approved training

• All applications must be pre-approved prior to taking the course

Occupant Training

• Deployment of occupant awareness programs – 50% up to $5,000
