The Peak caps off an eventful 30th year with a bang at the second edition of an exclusive Mavericks event. Some of Malaysia’s movers & shakers gathered at the brand new Stonor3 KLCC development in the heart of the city, continuing The Peak Mavericks’ objective to celebrate and bring together the country’s young and dynamic leaders. The event was held in collaboration with Tan & Tan Development Berhad, where their Japanese-themed Stonor3 residential tower provided a great venue to mingle and network. The event saw the attendance of Dato’ Seri Robert Tan of IGB Berhad, Derrick Tan of Sungei Wang, Raffles Racing’s Kyan Yap, Ho Ching Wee of Infinitium Group, Vijay Binwani of Binwani’s Fashion Group, MAVERICKS FLYING HIGH Emir Shafri of Publicis Malaysia and Shin Tseng, architect and co-founder of REXKL, among others Guests were welcomed to the Stonor3 resident’s lounge on the ground floor where they enjoyed cocktails inspired by Japanese flavours, most notably sake and yuzu. It was there that Tan Boon Lee, representing Tan & Tan Developments, and Jiro Mearashi of Mitsubishi Estate Asia, partner developers in the Stonor3 project, kicked off the night with rousing beats on a Japanese Taiko drum. Guests were then ushered up to the pool lounge, where a spread of Japanese autumnal culinary delights, smooth sake cocktails and fresh hand-rolled cigars from Trinidad Cigar Company were set out to fuel the night ahead. The Peak’s guests were also brought on a tour of two of the available units in the building. Each unit is kitted out with luxury finishes like teak wood floors, De Dietrich built-in fridges and a uniquely Japanese semi-sunken sitting bath. And the central location of Stonor3 also comes with complimentary stunning views of the Petronas Twin Towers and the KL skyline, which the mavericks experienced when they were brought to the rooftop garden on the 40th floor. 01 02 03 10 07 08 09 01 Jiro Mearashi and Tan Boon Lee striking the Japanese taiko drum to officiate the event. 02 Guests getting comfortable in Stonor3’s residental units. 03 Mindy Teh and Dato’ Seri Robert Tan 04 Edward Ong. 05 Arjuna Raj, Kyan Yap and Archana Menon. 06 Stephaine Tee and Steven Toh. 07 Jim Tan Kay Zhuin. 08 Natalie Sit. 09 Christopher Davison and Rina Ho Hui Ping. 10 Teh Boon Ghee, Chai Lai Sim and Tan Boon Lee. 05 06 92 THE PEAK THE PEAK 93 04 peak event peak event
