Gas prices have been on the rise all year long, and now that summer is here, the strain will only get worse on the family budget. Programs such as this one have been running in dealerships across the country to great success, seeing many longtime drivers of older gas-guzzlers finally make the switch. It’s easy to see why they are switching - Chevy is making fuel efficient vehicles that they want to buy! The 2011 Cruze, a new nameplate for Chevrolet,

comes with the most high-tech, comfortable interior ever for a Chevy compact car, with a full console and XM radio on every model. Many Cruzes also come with the remote engine ignition technology, so driv-ers can start their car from the comfort of their house and get it cooled off before they get in. Cruze also boasts 36 mpg with a regular gas engine - no expen-sive hybrid option necessary. By simply tuning the engine and the functionality of the car to the height of technology, Chevy was able to make a vehicle that has some of the best fuel efficiency in its class. One vehicle that buyers are always surprised about is the Equinox - it’s a large crossover utility vehicle, and it gets over 30 mpg? But it’s true - the 2011 Equi-nox LS gets 32 mpg on the highway, besting all of its competition (see sidebar). But the event doesn’t end there.
