There are eight parts of speech:

Nouns

Examples:

Places
masjid, bank,
Kabah, park
Things
dog, house,

Ideas
love, hate,
bravery, courage
Adjectives
describe
nouns.
Examples:
blue, red, big,
ugly, round,
pretty
Pronouns
take the
place of a
noun.
Examples:
he, she, it,
you, we,
me, I, they
Interjections
are
exclamations
expressing
emotion.
Examples:
Oh!
Wow!
Yeah!
Conjunctions
are words
that join
words or
groups of
words
Examples:
but
or
and
Prepositions
show the
relationship
between a
noun or
pronoun and
other words
in a
sentence.
Examples:
in, on,
against,
below
Adverbs
modify
verbs,
adjectives,
or other
adverbs. An
adverb
answers the
questions of how, when,
where, and
to what
extent.
Examples:
quickly,
later,
here,
very
Verbs express
action or
being.
Examples:
run, write,
spin, chop
