THE OPEN STANDARDTHAT LED TO THEMIRROR-LESS BODY

The LUMIX G Micro System adopts the Micro Four Thirds System standard,

developed as an extended version of the Four Thirds System standard for

digital camera systems. Using this standard, and developing a camera body

that eliminates the mirror box and optical viewfinder unit, the lens mount

outer diameter was reduced by about 6mm (compared with the conventional

Four Thirds camera) and shortened the flange-back distance* by about half.

Removing the mirror box also makes for smoother operation. The result is

a digital interchangeable lens camera that's both extremely compact and

highly mobile. The LUMIX G Micro System is a camera range that you can take

anywhere - and that, in turn, can take you as far as you want to go.*The distance between the lens mount and image sensor.

    H-VS014140

This lens boasts a focal length of 28-

    280mm (35mm camera equivalent) and

supports a continuous auto focus function that works

for both photos and movies. The aperture adaptivelyadjusts to each scene, letting you capture the kind

of delicate, softly focused movies that only a digital

interchangeable lens camera can produce. Thanks to

a silence design that helps suppress lens drive noise,

the GH1 with its new kit lens records sounds with

amazing clarity. This kit lens also incorporates MEGA

O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) that helps eliminate

    blurring from hand-shake.

    Wide-angle Zoom Lens14-28mm (35mm equiv.)/F4.0 ASPH.

    H-F007014

In spite of its impressive wide-angle zoom range of

14-28mm (35mm camera equivalent), this lens is

surprisingly compact and lightweight for casual on-

the-go use. Taking advantage of its wide, 114-degree

angle of view, you can easily fit subjects into the frame

even when shooting indoors where the distance is

limited. The world looks extraordinary when viewed

through the new lens, allowing photos and movies to

be recorded with a uniquely rich perspective.

    Pancake Lens40mm (35mm equiv.)/F1.7 ASPH.H-H020

This bright F1.7/20mm (35mm camera equivalent:

40mm) fixed focus lens produces bright photos with

a dramatic soft focus even in dimly lit locations. Its

compact, easy-to-carry size is also ideal for capturing

    everyday scenes and snapshots.

*This lens uses a lens drive system to enable a compact and

bright F1.7. As a result of this, operating sounds are recorded

when auto-focusing during motion picture recording.

macro lens with built-in optical image stabiliser lets

you take close-ups that capture your subjects in

their actual size (35mm camera equivalent: approx.

About the performance of Face Recognition functionRecognition performance varies greatly depending on shooting conditions, i.e., according to factors such as angles, facial expression andlighting, so operation under all conditions cannot be guaranteed. Because the camera searches for faces that are similar to registered faces, there are cases where the faces are not correctly recognized when the registered image and the shooting image varies much. When facialcharacteristics are similar, particularly between parents and their children or brothers and sisters, the camera may not distinguish the faces.

AVCHD and the AVCHD logo are trademarks of Panasonic Corporation and Sony Corporation. AVCHD is a new standard for recording HDsignals onto memory cards, DVD discs, and hard disks. It uses the H.264 standard to achieve more than twice the compression of conventionalMPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standards. AVCHD motion images recorded onto an SD Memory Card or a DVD disc cannot be played from a device thatdoes not support the AVCHD standard. Do not insert a disc containing AVCHD-recorded images into a device that does not support the AVCHDstandard. The disc cannot be played on such a device, and it may not be possible to remove the disc once inserted. The release date may differ depending on the country. Check the website of the Panasonic sales company in your country or region for detailson the optional accessories that are available in your market. The DMW-BLB13 comes with a function to check whether the battery and unitcan be safely used together.
