Metal pall ring
The design of the pall ring is an improvement of the Raschig ring. The cylindrical dimensions are equal, however the metal pall ring has two rows of punched and formed fingers facilitating vapor flow. This adjustment provides a significant performance increase, resulting in an improvement of the capacity and efficiency. In addition, this adjusted design leads to reduction of the pressure drop through the column. The metal pall rings are mechanically robust and provided by us in various sizes and in different types of steel. We also provide ceramic and plastic pall rings. Plastic pall ring
Plastic pall rings are less sensitive to liquid distribution quality and have higher liquid hold-up and residence time in comparison to high performance packings. Although the plastic pall rings does not have “high performance” characteristics, they have been used extensively and therefore their performance is widely known.
