Information on Assessment

• Access arrangement (AA) will be applicable:– P2 SA2 Exam– P3 SA1 & SA2 Exam.

• If your child is ill, see a doctor and get an MC. A VR will be given and your child will not be disadvantaged.

• Refrain from bringing child to school to take the test/exam if your child is unwell.

Class Promotion

• From P2 to P3– Based on child’s overall results

• From P3 to P4–En bloc Promotion–Minor changes to class enrolment

to enhance class dynamics

GEP Identification Exercise

• The GEP seeks to provide opportunities for the intellectually gifted to develop their potential

in an educational environment that is designed to stimulate intellectual growth

• Pupils for the GEP are selected through two rounds of tests

• August 2016 – Screening Test (Top 5%)

• October 2016 – Selection Test (Top 1%)

• For P3 pupils• Two stages of GEP Identification Exercise:

(a) GEP Screening Exercise – 26 Aug 2016(English Language & Mathematics)

(b) GEP Selection Exercise – 18, 19 Oct 2016 (English Language, Mathematics & General Ability) *Only for shortlisted pupils

• All children are to report to school by 7.15am

• Go to the classrooms to put their bags before reporting to the School Hall

• A variety of, meaningful and interesting activities will be conducted for the children from 7am to 7.15am.

Morning Assembly Morning Assembly

• No children will be allowed into the classrooms after 7.15am

• Children will be considered late for school after 7.30am and flag raising ceremony.

Cultivate good habits from young.

Attendance

• Pupils are strongly encouraged to be in school during school terms. Please refrain from bringing your child away or overseas during the school term.

• Should you need to bring your child overseas due to very special reason, please write in to your child’s Form Teacher and the Assistant Year Head of the level.

• A family support strategy designed to help parents improve their parenting skills and build positive relationships with their children.

• A collaborative effort between MOE and MSF• Programme includes:

Triple P• All Pri 3 and 4 pupils will be receiving a

questionnaire in Feb/Mar• After completion, seal it in the enclosed

envelope and return the sealed envelope to your child’s form teacher . With this information, the Ministry of Social and Family Development will recommend a programme that best meets your parenting needs.
