Yellow Belt: Understanding the Six Sigma Approach

You may already know that sigma measures how far a given process deviates from perfection, and that six sigma represents 3.4 defects per million or less. What you’re about to find out is how learning and practicing the six sigma approach can help your organization reduce costs, increase revenues, improve productivity, shorten time to market and increase market share.

In the Yellow Belt session you’ll be introduced to the world of six sigma. Green Belt: Essential Six Sigma Skills

Roll up your sleeves because you’re about to do some heavy lifting.

The Green Belt session is a three-day workshop designed to fully immerse you in the nuts and bolts of implementing the six sigma process. It’s all about using the DMAIC method for process improvement – design, measure, analyze, improve and control. You’ll soon be awash in charts, maps, metrics, diagrams and a host of other sophisticated tools and techniques for solving problems and improving quality. In the end, you’ll be fully equipped to become an effective team player in your specific business area.

What You Will LearnAs a six sigma Green Belt graduate you will know how to:

address business improvement projects using the DMAIC problem •solving method

create a charter and map an improvement process•

collect and analyze data with an eye toward becoming a lean •enterprise

Black Belt: Team Leadership and Facilitation

In six sigma projects, success trickles down. That’s why team leaders play a crucial role in implementing and sustaining the six sigma approach.

To prepare for the leadership challenge you’ll spend five days learning how to initiate, manage and conclude a six sigma project. From advanced process practices to team dynamics to preparing a detailed cost analysis, it’s all here to give you the tools you’ll need to hit the ground running your next day back on the job.

Follow-up work will make your transition to six sigma leadership even more effective. You’ll put your knowledge to work when you identify a real work process in your own organization, complete the DMAIC steps and submit your project for professional feedback.

FeeThe registration fee includes seminar attendance, participant materials, on premises lunch, refreshment breaks and parking. Full payment is due prior to seminar attendance. Prices are subject to change.

Team SavingsWhen a group of three or more participants from the same organization attends the same seminar, each participant is entitled to a 10 percent discount on the seminar fee.

Earn CEUsBoth continuing education units and certificates of completion are awarded for participation.

LocationThe seminars are held in the Schiff Conference Center on the fourth level of the Cintas Center, located at 1624 Herald Avenue, 45207, on Xavier University’s campus.

We allow cancellations up to one week prior to the seminar. After that, a 50 percent seminar fee will be imposed. No-shows will be assessed a 100 percent fee. Registrations are not confirmed until payment is received.
