Duplo and Ricoh have partnered to introduce the 350R/350PRO In-line Booklet System. Using the Ricoh RPIP (Ricoh Peripheral Interface Port) together with the Duplo DIB-R (In-line Bridge), the Duplo 350R/ 350PRO In-line Booklet System connects to supported Ricoh printers to provide a heavy duty, bookletmaking solution for entry production environments. The 350R/350PRO In-line Booklet System offers a hands-free bookletmaking process, eliminates touchpoints, and enables printed documents to be delivered one sheet at a time into the bookletmaker without any manual intervention.

Available in two configurations, the 350R/350PRO In-line Booklet System is a true mid-range bookletmaking solution that is engineered and designed with a strong, solid construction to deliver dependable and reliable performance when it matters most.

EASY, TIME SAVING OPERATION

Using Duplo’s DIB-R PC Controller software, the 350R/350PRO In-line Booklet System can be easily managed by a single operator via a conveniently placed all-in-one touchscreen PC. Operators can quickly change from one job to the next, without any tools, by recalling and initializing pre-programmed saved jobs.

The Graphical User Interface (GUI) is very intuitive and simply by entering or selecting the paper size, the PC Controller software automatically calculates the stitch, fold, and trim positions. The same is done for the slit and crease position when SCC unit is used. Utilizing elements such as the drop down list, check boxes, buttons and sliders, the PC Controller software makes it extremely easy for both experienced and novice operators to change jobs settings and make fine adjustments if needed. Additionally, an unlimited number of jobs can be programmed, saved and later be recalled to change from one job to the next within a matter of seconds.

DIB-R BRIDGE & HAND FEED SECTION

The DIB-R Bridge provides the physical link between the printer and the 350R/350PRO In-line Booklet System. It comes equipped with an air pump, anti-static device, and also includes the interface that connects to the Ricoh RPIP.

The DIB-R can receive printed documents one sheet at a time directly from the printer. It also offers hand feed feature that can be used for proofing or processing a small quantity of booklets. When connected with the SCC unit, each sheet must be hand-fed one at a time. Without the SCC, up to 20 sheets (81.4 gsm) can be fed at a time.

SCC SLIT/CUT/CREASE MODULE

Improve workflow, eliminate touch points and convert high value, color printed documents into professionally finished, full bleed booklets with the SCC (Slit/Cut/Crease) module. The SCC is available only with the 350PRO In-line Booklet System.

DBM-350/350T BOOKLETMAKER & TRIMMER

Produce high quality saddle, side and corner stitched booklets with the DBM-350 Bookletmaker and DBM-350T Trimmer. Equipped with two (2) Deluxe stitch heads, the DBM-350 Bookletmaker produces professionally stitched booklets at a fraction of the cost of staple cartridges. The length of the stitch can be adjusted to accommodate the thickness of the booklet and to prevent short or overlapping stitches. The distance between the stitch can also be adjusted for more flexibility and to achieve the desired position. It uses 5 lb. wire spools for longer run lengths and significantly less reloading. Hohner stitch heads are available as an option.

DSS-350 SQUARE SPINE

Add value and improve the appearance of saddle stitched booklets with the DSS-350 Square Spine. The DSS-350 creates flatter, more professional looking booklets that are easier to handle and pack.
