Boarding can be via the swim platform, boarding gates to port and starboard opposite thepilothouse doors or at the aft deck gates. Ascending one of the twin stairways from the teakswim platform, you will note the inboard as well as outboard handrails. This represents one ofmany design enhancements that add to the comfort and safety of those on board. The open aftdeck is covered overhead with wing doors to port and starboard. There is a stair case to portleading to the boat deck and a storage cabinet to starboard. A built in bench seat with a largeteak table will comfortably seat 6 to 8 for dining. Again the owner has employed an additionalsafety feature by having a hatch entry to the crew’s quarters and lazarette below on the aftdeck. This second entry is for safety when sea conditions prove too hazardous to access thecrew’s quarters and lazarette through the transom door.

Double doors lead into the main salon. The 21’ plus beam of an Outer Reef adds great volumeand gives the feel of a much larger yacht. The interior paneling was upgraded to cherry woodthroughout. An L-settee, matching easy chair and cherry wood coffee table w/custom designedtop are to port and an entertainment center and 2 tub chairs are to starboard. A formal diningarea is just forward of the settee, the dining table , too, has a custom designed inlay top. A wetbar and Uline refrigerator are to starboard as well as a custom cabinet with racks to holdglassware and china.

Step up to a fully equipped galley. Appliances are paneled in cherry, countertops and backsplashes are finished with granite. There is ample storage for all cooking equipment and customdrawers were built for cutlery and flatware. To starboard is a full height custom glassware andplate cabinet as well as a pantry for additional storage. Forward is a day head.

The pilothouse helm station has the very latest in electronics. This professionally designedsystem features the most comprehensive, up-to-date equipment and also includes many backupsystems for redundancy and safety. There are pilot and co-pilot helm chairs as well as anenormous U-Settee with table.

Stairways leading both below to the guest quarters and up to the fly bridge are to starboard.

Outer Reef’s trademark Deluxbridge provides an expansive layout with voluminous storage areas.There are pilot and co-pilot Stidd helm chairs, a full beam helm with complete navionics,custom designed chart well, L-settees to port and starboard each with a Corian topped hi/lotable, a wet bar w/refrigerator-ice maker and a gas BBQ grill. A gas alarm was also installed tomonitor the propane tanks-another safety feature proposed by the owner.

Gates open to the boat deck which holds a center line, heavy duty, 2,000 lb. davit for loweringtenders and life rafts either to port or starboard. The boat deck was strengthened and rails weremodified to allow for this feature.

Below deck are 4 staterooms and 3 heads each with shower. Forward is the VIP cabin with anoverhead, watertight hatch/skylight, queen berth with drawer storage below, 2 hanging lockers,storage cabinets on port and starboard bulkheads and an ensuite head w/shower. Just aft is theport guest cabin. This cabin has twin berths with drawer storage below, a night stand and cedarlined hanging locker. This room, too, has an ensuite head & shower which is shared with thestarboard cabin. The starboard guest cabin has over under bunks and drawer storage.

The master suite is full beam amidships. There is a centerline king berth with custom bookshelves built into the headboard wall. There is a vanity and drawer storage on the port bulkhead.The vanity includes custom lights and sliding mirror. Aft is the head which features, as do allthe heads on NV, granite flooring and counter tops. A Jacuzzi bath tub was specially ordered bythe owner as a luxury spa touch to this bathroom.

The engine room can be entered from the master stateroom’s closet or from the swim platformtransom door. The engine room is laid out in a manner that assures easy access and amplespace to work on all equipment.

Aft of the engine room are the crew’s quarters or fifth guest cabin. There is a double cabin andfull head with shower to starboard and crew lounge area and galley to port. An additionalstorage area with a washer/dryer is aft of the crew lounge and a watertight transom door opensto the swim platform.

NV’s décor was a joint effort by the owner, Argonautica Designs and the yacht design team ofOuter Reef Yachts. Each amenity was thoughtfully planned and researched by the owner beforesubmitting to designer and architect who worked tirelessly to incorporate each of these ideasinto a reality.

Due to the owner’s previous extensive offshore sailing and ownership of other large boats, NVhas been built with the necessary design, materials and upgrades to make her one of the bestthought out vessels of her size. Redundancy in mechanical and electronic equipment has beenimplemented to assure safety in backup systems. With Cat C-18 power, she operates atextremely efficient cruise speeds, from 8 to 14 knots, but can also run at 17 to 18 knots whenrequired. She is now, truly, better than new, a fully proven vessel, ready to take her new ownerswherever they wish to cruise. NV had new voltage converter systems installed in 2011 whichallow the yacht to efficiently operate in on other than U.S. power requirements like those foundin Europe.
