Together we will:
• Provide appropriate and fit-for-purpose equipment
and uniforms.
• Improve the effec�veness of joint consulta�ve fo-
rums in the development of health and safety pro-
grams to oversee the implementa�on and future
revision of the Strategy.
• Promote the Strategy, integrate goals and create
workplace ac�ons within opera�onal planning pro-
cesses.
• Increase the commitment and capability of managers
and supervisors to effec�vely manage workplace
health and safety.
• Encourage employee par�cipa�on in the improve-
ment of workplace health and safety.
• Use mistakes as learning opportuni�es to prevent
the re-occurrence of injuries.
• Enhance knowledge and capability of Health and
Safety Representa�ves.
Together we will:
• Increase recogni�on and understanding of frontline
supervisors and management about workplace pre-
venta�ve cultures.
• Improve leadership capability for suppor�ve people
management.
• Create a work environment that fosters a sense of
inclusion and ownership.
• Ensure clear values and expecta�ons.
• Ac�vely manage and support our people.
• Create improvements for work/home integra�on.
• Recognise the value and good work performed.
• Encourage professional development opportuni�es.
• Ensure open communica�on channels.
• Improve workforce planning to enable flexible work
arrangements.
• Improve support services to our people and families.
• Have correct, safe and appropriate equipment availa-
ble.
• Create and facilitate opportuni�es for social connec-
�ons through sports, ac�vi�es and networks for our
people and families.
Together we will:
• Promote the benefits of good nutri�on and regular
physical ac�vity for our people and families.
• Increase opportuni�es to engage our people and their
families in regular physical ac�vity and good nutri�on.
Together we will:
• Promote psychological health to our people and fami-
lies.
• De-s�gma�se psychological health in our workplace,
including through educa�on and awareness
• Encourage our people to seek help from internal or
external counselling services and/or their trea�ng
health prac��oner.
• Offer psychological health ini�a�ves, services and pro-
grams to our people and their families through all stag-
es of employment and in the year post separa�on from
the QPS.
• Review current policies, programs and services to en-
sure they are supported evidence and meet the needs
of our people.
