Stewardship Reflection
“Be doers of the word and not hearers
only…” (JAMES 1:22)
What do you do to live God’s word? Do you share
your time in prayer with God? Do you use your tal-
ent to help those in need? Are you generous with
your financial resources? If not, what are you wait-
ing for?
We have an obligation to share with others, that
which God has given us. Share your time, and tal-
ents. Men and women can become involved in the
life of our Parish by becoming an Altar Server,
Catechist, Choir Member, Lector, and/or Ush-
er. By taking an active role in the liturgical life, and
service of the Parish, you can have a wonderful ex-
perience. Feel free to fill out the form on page 5 and
drop it in the collection basket or call the rectory.

Sharing God’s Blessings
Annual Appeal
This year’s Appeal, Sharing God’s Blessings is a
perfect opportunity for us to reflect on God’s gener-
osity to us and to share the blessings we have been
given with those around us.
We are often reminded by our Holy Father Pope
Francis and Sacred Scripture that in order to love
one another we must share the blessings which God
has provided to us.
We are called to similarly share what is granted to
us by God and return it to Him so that not one of
our brothers and sisters goes without: without the
gift of faith; without the essential human needs; and
without a personal relationship with Our Lord. We
are called to Share God’s Blessings, and when we
do, we find freedom and joy in proclaiming the Res-
urrection of the Lord Jesus, just as the Apostles did
over 2,000 years ago!
Support Group for
Those Who are
Separated or Divorced
In September, OLMC is starting a
10-session program, for those who
are separated, recently divorced or
going through the process of divorce.
Our mission is first, to support emo-
tionally and spiritually those who
have suffered the loss of the marital relationship,
and second, to offer a caring, compassionate and
confidential environment for the sharing of
experiences. The group size is limited and advance
registration is required - no walk-ins. Please call
the Rectory during regular business hours to regis-
ter. All sessions will be held on Monday evenings
from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Parish Hall. All
calls are confidential and there is no fee in order to
attend.
Annulment Information Evening
An Annulment Information Evening is scheduled for
Wednesday, September 9, at 7:30 p.m. at Our
Lady of the Lake (32 Lakeside Avenue, Verona). A
staff member of the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of
Newark will provide basic information about annul-
ments; the requirements for annulments and how to
begin the process of petitioning for an annulment.
There will be an opportunity for questions at the
end of the session. Pre-registration is not necessary,
but for directions, please Our Lady of the Lake at
(973)239-5696.
