OTIS - A #EIE2021 pre-event webinar Organiza9on Theory for Implementa9on Science (OTIS) Advancing Implementa0on Science with a Framework of Organisa0onal Theories A webinar with Ass. Prof. Sarah Birken, Wake Forest School of Medicine, Ass. Prof. Jennifer Leeman, University of North Carolina (US) and Prof. Per Nilsen, Linköping University (Sweden) February 24, 2-3.30 pm London, 3-4.30 pm Berlin, 4-5.30 pm Helsinki - online Please register here – we will send you a link to access the webinar closer to the date Organiza9on Theory for Implementa9on Science (OTIS) is a user-friendly resource to help integrate organisa0on theory into implementa0on research and prac0ce. It is based on the premise that organisa0on theory offers highly relevant, yet untapped explana0ons of organisa0onal dynamics influencing implementa0on. OTIS helps to integrate organisa0on theory into implementa0on science, thereby contribu0ng to a more comprehensive understanding of how, why, and under what circumstances implementa0on occurs than currently possible with extant implementa0on science frameworks. As part of OTIS’ development, experts iden0fied 12 central organisa0on theories. Through the inspec0on of literature on these theories a range of constructs and proposi0ons could be iden0fied that are relevant to implementa0on. The eloquent team of researchers hos0ng this webinar have integrated the findings from this process and produced tools to facilitate the applica0on of OTIS in implementa0on science. Included are a menu of implementa0on determinants, theory-derived proposi0ons for how these may influence implementa0on, and alignment of determinants with the inner and outer context domains of the Consolidated Framework for Implementa0on Research. Next to presen0ng OTIS, the team will help and guide aMendees in understanding how to integrate the tool in their implementa0on research. There will also be rich opportunity to discuss the poten0al and bounds of organisa0onal theory’s contribu0ons to implementa0on science.
