- The report includes the activities at Orran Yerevan for the months of October, November and December. Below please find information on the following topics.

1. GENERAL REMARKS
In the months of July, August and September the total number of the daily beneficiaries
at Orran Yerevan was 149. The table below shows the details:

The following changes in the program took place:
We accepted fifteen new children and assigned them accordingly into junior, middle and senior groups. Some of them are in the meal only program.
Ten children exited the program. In December, 98 children were involved in the Orran program, 7 of them in the daily
meal program and 9 in the individualized school program.

There have been changes in the number elderly beneficiaries. In this quarter, we had 6 new beneficiaries and lost 2.
The department of education held meetings once a week. The team discussed individual cases, and addressed organizational issues and problems.
There was a high absenteeism rate in November because of flu epidemic.
1. 2. Academic Assistance to Children
1.1. Classes and Handcraft Workshops 1.1.1 Classes
Orran’s 82 children are divided into 3 classes according to their age group. Each class is led by a
teacher who is responsible for the daily conduct of the children including homework
preparation, involvement in educational and cultural events. The teachers are assisted by the
volunteers.

2.1.2 Handicraft classes
The children of Orran were active in handcraft classes.

As it is a tradition in Orran in October children’s crafts were put on sale at the Marriott Armenia Hotel.

3. Cultural education
3.1. Events
It was an active trimester for the cultural life of Orran. The children held a number of events, with guests attending. They were also invited to cultural events outside of Orran.
In the photos below there is the description of the events.
On October 1, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elderly, “Voske Ashun” choir of Orran
performed at the celebration and congratulated the elderly people that were present there. They sang different
songs and entertained everyone.

On October 1, the children from the math and computer program attended the 12th annual International
Digitec Exhibition
On October 8, Viva Cell MTS employees from Russia visited Orran and presented a beautiful
and educational performance for the beneficiaries. The children watched with great pleasure,
and after receiving the bags full of sweets the children performed several songs for their guests.

In the begginng of October, Orran’s annual charity dinner took place in Glendale, California.
The main speaker during the dinner was our old friend Serj Tankian.

On October 20, the children met a group of journalists from Asekose.am , and their editor in chief
and founder Aram Harutyunyan.
November 17, a master class entitled 'Computer Literacy' took place during which children received deep
knowledge of the basic technical specifications of the computer devices.

In November, during the autumn holidays, the “Barekamutyun” dance studio had dance classes with 24
students. It was a great joy and pleasure to participate in dance choreography classes.
On November 25, the children from the theatre group featured a performance entitled “ One
day of Orran” on the occasion of Thanksgiving day.

On November 30, the children of the theatre group performed “Mkneri joghov” by A. Khnkoyan at “ Gitun
plus children” development center.
On November 5, 11 children attended Armenia Mariott hotel where they
prepared and decorated biscuits and hung them on the Christmas tree as they
made their wishes. They also played different games.

On November 29, the opening of the exhibition at the Museum of Children's Art within the framework of
Pan-Armenian Painting 6th Contest-Festival. Took place The works of Orran children were also displayed.
On December 21, 10 children from young group attended Cinema Star at Dalma Mall and watched a cartoon.
On December 21, there children of the theatre group performed “Mkneri joghov” by A. Khnkoyan at Primary
School NO. 23 after Sh. Rustaveli. It is important to mention that the majority of children that were

performing study at that school .
On December 22, the members of Image Code beauty salon, accompanied by famous and popular singers and
designers visited Orran. They prepared pizzas with children, sang and danced . The youngest children cut the
festive cake. They presented the children with Christmas gifts and food packages.

On December 24, children attended the Puppet Theater and watched the “Marduk- jruk” performance.
On December 26th, the children were invited to the circus to watch a performance dedicated to the New
Year.
On December 26, there was double celebration for Orran children, because the English club children
performed “Snow Queen”.

On December 27, the annual Christmas event took place. The event was followed by a festive reception with
delicious dishes. At the end, beloved Santa Claus came with presents to visit the children.:

4. Social services.
In this quarter social worker Marina Ghazaryan reviewed the cases of beneficiaries. She conducted social work with 33 families. She also visited the homes of 11 Orran children to reassess their living conditions.

5. Medical and Psychological Services
5.1 Medical
• Conducted preventive medical checkups.
• Carried out personal explanatory work with the children in private conversation: hygiene
issues.
• Supervised the children in need of hair hygiene
• Monitored TB tests
• Monitored the sanitary conditions in the kitchen.

On October 13, due to the materials provided by “The Armenian Eye Care Project” , our nurse Satine
Manukyan introduced the structure of the eye, diseases and first aid to children. An educational film on the
topic was shown as well.

On October 29, an open lesson entitled Smoking is Injurious to Health took place. The
children were introduced to the damage caused by smoking.
5.2 Psychological
During this quarter, the psychologist held individual and group sessions with the children.
