In a recent focus group, we learned that many of our readers do not identify with the term “commuters” and would prefer the name “off-campus students.” In our publications we use the words interchangeably, but from now on, the title will reflect your preferred name. The other suggestions from the focus group, including earlier coffee hours, more catchy email titles, and more posts on social media are also being incorporated into plans for next semester. Do you have any comments or concerns about your experience as an off-campus student this semester? Email them to Meg Pultz at [email protected].

Services
Over the holidays, make sure to account for safety in your various travel plans. Lock your doors, check weather and traffic, and make sure someone else knows the details of your travel schedule. Take home or lock up particularly valuable items to guard against damage or theft, and notify your landlord of any security concerns (such as a broken lock) before you depart.
Winter Break Safety
We hope that your Holidays are merry and bright this winter break! Travel safely, enjoy your family and friends, eat tasty food, and catch up on some much needed sleep. We’ll see you back here in the new year!
