INTERESTED IN SEWING FROM HOME?? Kits for quilt tops have been put together and

are on the ledge in the fellowship hall downstairs for you to take home, sew and return. The tops can be any size and look however the person using the fabric would like. Cut and

piece at will. We use ALL size quilts for vets, homeless, food shelf, clothes closet, etc. If you have any questions, please ask.

We would like to “thank” the person/s who so generously donated the fabric for this pro-ject. It is greatly appreciated. A BLESSING OF THE QUILTS will take place on Sunday, October 20th, during our church service, for quilts that have been completed in the past year.

BETHEL CHURCH COUNCIL MINUTES September 15, 2019

The meeting was called to order by Deb P. Attending were Marv B., Dan M, Pastor Halom, Meridee B., and Marty A., Mike L. and Deb P. August Secretary’s report was read by all. A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept. August Treasurer’s report was reviewed and after some discussion about the new copier and the Bethel

Boogie funds transfer, a motion was made and seconded to approve. Activities

Insulation was discussed. Marv is continuing to attempt to contact to get an estimate. Fall cleanup of leaves and limbs was discussed and it was decided on October 13 after worship for this, with a potluck

after. Worship and music selection will take place tomorrow in conjunction with Ladies’ Group/Quilting. Also, there was dis-

cussion of a DigitalHymnal.net at a cost of $2,500 to provide music for upcoming services (due to limited availability of current pianists). Discussion of possibly using funds that had been ear-marked for air-conditioning system (as there are so few Sundays that are hot enough to NEED cooling system). ** It was noted by Pastor that if this system was purchased it would be “paid for” after one year.

Youth & Education Discussion of a Halloween event to coincide with the Fall Clean-up day

Fund Raising Harvest Dinner: November 10. Discussion about advertising this.

Old Business Cleaning person: Not in a rush to hire someone at this time. Marilyn will be cleaning through the end of September.

Fall clean-up will be October 13 and we will put the option out there to have cleaning done on a volunteer basis. Also, Deb and Dan are checking into their young people’s interest in this. New printer was received. Need to haul out the old one when the ink runs out. Bethel Boogie account of $472 to be donated to the school for lunch subsidy program.

New Business Annual budget information will be coming from the Synod office

Constitutional amendment: Synod office will be providing guidance on this and when this is received will be incorpo-rated into Bethel’s Constitution. Pastor will check with Roxy to be sure that this is included in our master document.

Next meeting October 20, 2019 Motion to adjourn
