“Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?” (Luke 17:18)
Most of us live “easy” lives. We have food, shelter, and
clothing. We go on vacation every year and own a car or two. Most of us take this all for granted. Did you ever notice that
people with the least amount of possessions are usually the
most grateful? Shouldn’t this be the other way around? Take time every day and thank God for all He has given you.
Sacramental Preparation

Children’s Liturgy is for children from
preschool to grade 2. It is the celebration of the Liturgy of the Word in child-friendly
language, with discussion/activities on how it applies to their lives as children. We
are looking for more leaders to join
this ministry at the 11:00 Mass. If interested, please contact Miri Schiller at
[email protected] or 306-550-7518. As we currently have 2 leaders, we will be
running the program only twice a month.
The financial goal for the Archbishop’s Appeal is $1.6
Million. This amount will help the Archdiocese finance
the different pastoral programs and invest in the future
of the church through endeavors such as the youth
program and the education of clergy and seminarians,
deacons and lay apostles. Please prayerfully consider
supporting the Archbishop’s Appeal this year.
RCIA: Explore Faith Are you struggling with tough issues
and wondering what this life is all about? Who is God? Who is
Jesus? How do I read the Bible? Does God have a plan for me?
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is the normal way by
which adults prepare to join the Catholic faith. At the same
time it is a valuable means by which those who have been
Catholic their whole lives can up-date their faith and learn
more about the way Christ calls us to be Church together. For
more information on the RCIA at Holy Rosary Cathedral or to
register for the fall, contact Deacon Eric Gurash at
[email protected]. Weekly meetings began Wednesday,
October 9, 2019 in the O'Neill Room.
Jesuit Lecture Series – Resisting Throwaway Culture:
How a consistent life ethic can unite a fractured people – Lecturer: Dr. Charlie Camosy, Professor of Ethics, Fordham
University. Wednesday October 16, 2019 at 7 PM, Campion College, University of Regina. Free - Open to
Everyone - Use public parking lots on U of R campus. On the same topic, there is also the following available on line: Dr.
Charles Camosy joins Eric and Brett during this Reverence for
Life month in the Archdiocese of Regina. In this first of a four-part series on his latest book, they'll look at the broad and
problematic cultural and political context we find ourselves in and begin an examination of the potential for a consistent life
ethic to break down the barriers of polarization and create an
ethos centered on care for the vulnerable in all facets of society. http://thinkingfaith.libsyn.com/tf159-resisting-

Working to Build a Better Society - The principles of respect for life from conception to natural death and of the
dignity of the human person should influence how Christians assess a party’s position on key moral issues. Choosing life also
means being always concerned for the weakest among us –
physically, economically, and socially. Believing in justice and peace includes daring to take a stand against the arms trade
and against human trafficking, which exploits young people
and workers. It means entering into international treaties that
respect the planet, our common home, as well as tirelessly working for the expansion of peace everywhere. (excerpt from
2019 Federal Election Guide, CCCB)

Peace Prayer of St. Francis Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace:
Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy
O, Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand, to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. AMEN.

Hail Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy. Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs, Mourning and weeping in this valley of tears!
Turn then O most gracious Advocate, Thine eyes of mercy toward us,
And after this, our exile, show unto us The blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫♫ O my Jesus, forgive us our sins
Save us from the fires of hell Lead all souls to heaven
Especially those most in need of thy mercy.
