Workshop: Sustainable Development in
Education at the University of Tampere
The Workshop was offered to every School of the Universityto help to identify the sustainable development aspects of theSchool
The Schools were contacted to ask participants for the
workshop The Workshop was arranged in the Schools or close to their
locations and by the ESDAN steering group
The Policy Guideline was sent to workshop participants inadvance and participants were ask to read it
Workshop program: Introduction: Education for Sustainable Development Group discussions (3-5 persons)
Sharing the information with other groups
Coffee, tea and snacks were served!

Sustainable development labelling was added to thecurriculaThe schools were asked to determine which of their
courses include a sustainability aspect and then give theircourses a sustainable development labelling in thecurricula
The labelled courses can be listed separately

23 courses from 6 different Schools Each course is 5 ECTSTo complete the study module 5 courses are required (25
ECTS).

The Sustainable Development Study Module started on 1J anuary 2013 There are now more resources to coordinate education for
sustainable development as the School of Social Sciences andHumanities is responsible for the study module
