2. From one sheet of St. Nicholas paper, trim a piece 8 3 ⁄4" x 6" from the reverse side (Plaid). Using gel medium (or similar) attach the paper to the right side of the album, lining up the top, bottom, and right edges.

Tools, Adhesive & Ink: Black ink, paper trimmer, scissors, craft knife and cutting mat, bone folder, sponge dauber, Crop-a-Dile hole punch or similar, corner rounder, gel multi-medium or decoupage, foam brush, double-sided tape, 3D foam adhesive, quick drying glue, hot glue, or metal glue

Notes:* All dimensions are length x width. ** Save leftover products for the November Card Class Add-on projects. *** Be careful to keep the two pieces of St. Nicholas Signature paper separate as we will be using side A (identified as Signature) of one sheet and side B (identified as Plaid) of the other sheet for the project.

Attach a black photo corner to the right corners of the paper. Feel free to sponge the edges of all paper with black ink.

3. From North Pole paper, trim a section of border 83 ⁄4" x 11 ⁄4" and attach it to the left side of the album cover. Leave a space slightly less than 1 ⁄2" between the border strip and the Plaid paper.

4. Cut a piece of 5⁄8"-wide green satin ribbon to 101 ⁄2" long. Wrap the ribbon around the edges of the front album cover and secure. Make sure to cover the space between the border strip and the Plaid paper with the ribbon.

5. Use a craft knife to cut the main image from the second of the St. Nicholas paper sheets (identified as St. Nicholas Signature). Set the rest of this sheet aside as we will be cutting out more of the images later.

6. (Shown in previous image) From the St. Nicholas Ephemera Cards, select the Jolly St. Nick card. Trim the Jolly St. Nick journaling area from the ephemera card. Also, select one ephemera card with "Ho Ho Ho" on the reverse side. From Candy Cane Wishes paper, fussy cut one candy cane image. From Season's Greetings paper, trim one small postage stamp image.

7. Use a craft knife to cut around Santa's mittens. Gently slide the Jolly St. Nick journaling spot into place to make it look like Santa is holding the image. Secure the image with glue. Use foam tape to add the small postage image to the left side as shown. Cut around the teddy bear's arm and slide the candy cane image under the arm to make it look like the bear is holding it. Secure with glue.8. Add clear glitter glue to the fur on Santa's hat and coat as well as to the fur on the doll's hat. Add gold glitter glue to the swirl pattern on the lower left corner of the image. Add red, green, and clear glitter glue to other elements on the image as desired. Set image aside to dry.9. From Bells and Bows paper trim a bell and flower image. Add glitter to the berries, flower centers, and the bell clapper. Set aside to dry.

10. Use foam tape to attach the fussy cut flowers to the lower left corner of the main image. Attach a piece of 6" x 6" chipboard to the back of the image. (Or, use foam tape in place of the chipboard.)

11. Attach the "Ho Ho Ho" ephemera card to the back of the main image so that just the top portion of the card is visible. Attach the main image to the album cover, centering top to bottom, and approx. 1 ⁄4" from the right edge.

12. Glue a wrapped circle of ivory twine to the upper left corner of the album. Tie a double bow from the green satin ribbon and attach to the top corner of the album, overlapping the twine. If using the Metal Option, glue a metal clock key to the top of the bow.

13. Cut a strip of postage images from Christmas Cheer paper. Attach the strip to the spine of the album. If using the Metal Option, glue an Antique Brass Metal Door Plate and Knob to the center of the spine as shown.

14. From Candy Cane Wishes paper, trim a piece 83 ⁄4" x 6". Using gel medium (or similar) attach the paper to the left side of the album back cover, lining up the top, bottom, and left edges. Attach a black photo corner to the left corners of the paper. From North Pole paper, trim a border 83 ⁄4" x 11 ⁄4" and attach it to the right side of the album back cover as shown.

15. From the St. Nicholas Plaid paper trim a strip 83 ⁄4" x 15⁄8" and attach it to the center section of the inside cover, closest to the binding rings. Trim a piece of Bells and Bows reverse paper

(holly image) to 83 ⁄4" x 41 ⁄4" and attach it to the right side of the cover section. 16. Trim a second piece of St. Nicholas Plaid paper to 83 ⁄4" x 4" and attach it to the left edge of the inside cover by three sides, creating a pocket. From North Pole paper, trim a section of border 83 ⁄4" x 5⁄8" and attach a black photo corner to each left corner of the border. Attach the border to the left side of the pocket as shown. Attach a strip of double-sided tape to the top edge of the pocket as shown. 17. From North Pole paper, trim a section of border 83 ⁄4" x 11 ⁄4" and attach it to the right edge of the pocket. Add a postage image cut from Christmas Cheer paper to the top of the pocket with foam tape.

Place ephemera cards and photo mats into the pocket. (Optional: cut 4" x 6" photo mats from St. Nicholas 6x6 Patterns and Solids Pad)

18. If using the Metal Option, tie green satin ribbon to the top of an Antique Brass Metal Clock Key and glue the key to the pocket as shown.

19. From Candy Cane Wishes reverse

• Pages •20. Locate the following album pages: 1 ivory tab pocket page, 2 vellum pages, 2 ivory pages, and 2 kraft pages. Set the rest of the pages aside to decorate on your own.

21. Select two 4" x 6" ephemera cards from the package. Cut a large postage image from Christmas Cheer Paper. Trim the green "Do

Not Open" border from Season's Greetings paper.

22. Trim Sweet Tooth reverse paper (collage print) to 51 ⁄4" x 61 ⁄4" and attach a photo corner to each upper corner. Attach the paper to the top of the ivory pocket page. Trim Sweet Tooth paper to 3" x 63 ⁄8" and attach to the pocket. Trim the border to size and attach to the top of the pocket. Add the postage image to the center of the pocket using foam adhesive. Place the ephemera cards into the pocket.

Note: Make sure to mark the location of the holes using one of the extra album pages as a guide. Use a hole punch to re-punch the holes before attempting to place the pages into your album.

23. Select a 4" x 6" ephemera card from the package. (Optional: cut a 4" x 6" photo mat from St. Nicholas 6x6 Patterns and Solids Pad.) Trim flower border strip from Season's Greetings paper. Select a tag ephemera card and trim into a tag shape.

24. Flip the pocket page over. Trim Bells and Bows paper to 51 ⁄4" x 61 ⁄4" and attach a photo corner to each upper corner. Attach the paper to the top of the ivory pocket page. Trim St. Nicholas Plaid paper to 11 ⁄2" x 63 ⁄8" and attach to the center of the pocket. Trim the border to size and attach to the center of the Plaid paper. Add the ephemera tag to the center of the pocket using foam adhesive. Place the ephemera card and photo mat into the pocket.

25. Use a craft knife to carefully trim a 5⁄8" border section from the St. Nicholas Signature paper. Attach the border strip to the left edge of a vellum page and re-punch the holes. Using black photo corners, attach a 4" x 6" ephemera card to the center of the vellum page.

26. Flip the vellum page over. Trim a 5⁄8" strip from the St. Nicholas Plaid paper. Attach the border strip to the right edge of a vellum page, covering the border that show through the vellum. Re-punch the holes. The ephemera card on the other side of the page is visible through the vellum. Use a bone folder to burnish the back of each photo corner so that the adhesive does not show through the vellum.

27. From Christmas Cheer reverse paper cut a piece 81 ⁄8" x 63 ⁄8". Attach black photo corners to each corner of the paper and attach the paper to the center of an ivory page. Create a pocket from a 4" x 6" ephemera card by placing adhesive on three sides and attaching the card to the page as shown. Slip two smaller ephemera cards into the pocket.

28. Flip the ivory page over. Place a 4" x 6" ephemera card at the top center of the ivory page. Optional: cut a 4" x 6" photo mat from St. Nicholas 6x6 Patterns and Solids Pad and place it at the bottom center of the page.

29. Locate a kraft page. Trim the page to 6" x 6" by trimming 11 ⁄8" from the top and bottom of the page and 1 ⁄2" off the left edge. Use a corner rounder to round all four corners.

30. Trim Sweet Tooth reverse paper (collage print) to 57⁄8" x 57⁄8" and round all four corners. Attach the paper to the center of the kraft page. Trim a 1 ⁄2" x 6" strip of St. Nicholas Plaid paper. Use foam adhesive to attach the left and right edges of the paper strip to the lower portion of the page. Cut the Be Jolly tag image from the Season's Greetings paper and attach it to the right side of the belly band. Tuck a small ephemera card under the belly band.

31. Flip the kraft page over. Trim Bells and Bows paper to 21 ⁄2" x 6" and round the bottom two corners. Wrap a section of green satin ribbon around the panel. Attach the paper to the lower portion of the page. Attach a 4" x 6" ephemera card to the top of the page.




32. Trim the "Ho Ho Ho" border from Season's Greetings paper. Trim a postage image from St. Nicholas Signature paper. Select three of the 4" x 6" ephemera cards from the package.

33. Locate the second ivory page and slip a black photo corner OVER each corner. Flip the page over and place a photo corner ON each corner of the reverse side, which will cover the adhesive and secure the photo corners. Flip the page back so that the holes are again on your left-hand side.34. Attach one 4" x 6" ephemera card to the bottom right corner of the page, slipping the lower right corner into the black photo corner. Trim a 41 ⁄4" section of the "Ho Ho Ho" border and attach it to the bottom left of the page as shown. Place the postage image at the top right corner of the page. Trim 51 ⁄4" section of the "Ho Ho Ho" border and attach it to the top left of the page as shown. If using the Metal Option, tie red satin ribbon around the top of an Antique Brass Metal Clock Key and glue the key to the left side of the page.

35. Orient the other two selected 4" x 6" ephemera cards as shown. Using an extra page from the album as a guide, mark and punch holes into the cards so that they will be centered in

the album when placed on the binding rings.

36. Place the cards on top of the ivory page when placing the pages into the album.

37. Trim the Joy image, the Do Not Open tag image, and the Glad Tidings tag image from Season's Greetings paper. Locate the two "Santa with toys" ephemera cards, the Season's Greetings ephemera cad, and the Kris Kringle tag ephemera card.

38. Flip the ivory page over. Trim Kris Kringle paper to 81 ⁄8" x 63 ⁄8". Attach the paper to the page, making sure to tuck the paper into the black photo corners that you attached previously. Use foam adhesive to attach the Joy image to the bottom center of the page.

39. Use the tags and ephemera cards to create a waterfall feature on the page. Begin your waterfall feature by trimming Kris Kringle paper into six (6) strips 1" x 13 ⁄4". Fold each strip in half to create a "tent" that is 1 ⁄2" x 13 ⁄4". Locate one of the "Santa with toys" ephemera cards and one of the paper tents.




40. Use double-sided adhesive to attach the paper tent to the back of the Santa ephemera card. Place another strip of adhesive to the back of the folded paper tent. Attach the Santa ephemera card, via the folded paper tent, to the top of the ivory page. This is the first panel of the waterfall feature.

41. Trim the four (4) tag images into tag shape. Locate the other Santa with toys image (we are using the reverse side). Locate five (5) paper strips cut previously. Use double-sided adhesive to attach the paper tents to the back of each tag and the ephemera card. Place another strip of adhesive to the back of each folded paper tent.

42. Continue to attach the tags to the page, lining up the folded edge of each paper tent to the bottom edge of the folded tent of each previous panel, until you complete the waterfall feature.

43. Trim the postage image strip from Season's Greetings paper. Trim the Jolly Old Saint Nicholas poem from St. Nicholas Signature paper. Locate one 4" x 6" ephemera card. Optional: cut a 4" x 6" photo mat from St. Nicholas 6x6 Patterns and Solids Pad.

44. Locate a vellum page and a kraft page. Using black photo corners, attach the poem image to the kraft page, 11 ⁄2" from the right edge and 1" from the top edge. Attach the postage strip images to the left edge of the vellum page, and trim for length. Flip the vellum page over and run an adhesive strip along the edge where the

border strip shows through. Line the vellum page with the kraft page and secure the pages together by the left edge. Re-punch the holes in the pages. 45. Flip the kraft page over. Place a 4" x 6" ephemera card at the top center of the page. Optional: cut a 4" x 6" photo mat from St. Nicholas 6x6 Patterns and Solids Pad and place it at the bottom center of the page. 46. Use the directions for these pages to complete the remaining pages of your album, later, using your own supplies. Save your left over supplies from this workshop for the St. Nicholas Christmas Card Add-on Class.
