Morgan Place Morgan Place News We are happy to announce that our Morgan Place residents have received their third booster vaccine and also their flu shot in October. With Covid-19 still dangerously in our community and flu season beginning we are doing everything we can to keep the residents safe. Visitors must be fully vaccinated to enter Morgan Place as well as the staff that are working each day. We know that the third booster is coming for health care workers in long-term care but we do not know the dates as of now. We are able to take the residents out on the bus but we are choosing not to bring them into restaurants or other indoor places. We will continue to offer scenic drives and picnics on the bus. Last month they enjoyed the farm and pumpkin patch outings. At this time we are not allowing friends or family to join us on the bus with the residents when we go out. IN FLANDERS FIELDS

In Flanders fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses, row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago,

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:

To you, from failing hands, we throw

The torch; be yours to hold it high.

If ye break faith with us who die

We shall not sleep, though poppies

grow

In Flanders fields.

Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae

Family Room Bookings

We are now offering the Family Room for visitors

to book and bring a resident for a social visit or to

share a meal. We are asking that visitors only book

once a week so there is ample space and time for

everyone who is interested to be able to enjoy this

room.

The Family Room has a maximum occupancy of 6

people and this includes the resident. Visitors that

abuse this will not be able to book the room again.

Bookings can be made through reception and our

calendars ready for bookings up until Dec 31st.

Bookings must be kept under two hours.

Visitors need to wipe down the table and chairs

with the provided cavi-wipes before they leave.

Pack in, pack out! We are unable to offer catering

requests at this time. Please bring in everything

you would need for your visit. If you are bringing

in a meal to share do not forget to bring your

cutlery, plates and table cloth if desired. When

you are ready to leave be sure to take out what

you brought in.

If you have further questions do not hesitate to

contact us. 604-535-7328 ext. 306 or ext. 301
