Kind regards, Amber Gorrell Principal ________________________________________________________________________________________ Disco Last Thursday night was our annual school disco. It is a fundraising event that supports the Normanhurst PS Dance Groups. We had a fabulous evening of fun, smiles, laughter and of course, dance. There were wonderful lights, music, prizes, glow sticks and a delicious sausage sizzle dinner. A massive thank you to the Manton family for sharing their amazing lights and DJ skills on the night. We are so grateful to have parents who will give up their time to volunteer at school events. Another big thank you to Mrs Dougall and her terrific group of dance parents who coordinated and ran the sausage sizzle. We would also like to thank all the staff who spent the evening singing and dancing with the students. It was a great night with a wonderful atmosphere. We are looking forward to next year already. P&C News Wk 8 P&C Meeting Monday 17 June 2019 7.30p.m. Trivia Night Saturday 15 June 2019 (Evening) Plant a Tree Day Tuesday 13 August 2019 (Term 3) Our school has now been registered with Planet Ark to participate in Plant a Tree Day, which is 12 weeks away on 13 August.

We need your help over the coming weeks to prepare our K – 1 playground for its grand opening, which we hope can also be held on this day. Keep an eye out on our facebook page for impromptu working bee times.

On the day, local member Alister Henskens will attend to plant a tree with our children and open the playground. A sip and sizzle day will be held for lunch and we will need parent volunteers to assist the children with planting and hosting the BBQ.

Also, keep an eye out this week for the P&C Fundraising Contribution letter in your child’s school bag. This contribution directly benefits our children’s learning environment and is tax deductible.
