 Dear Parents/Caregivers Ngā mihi o te wā ki a koe me te whānau. Thank you to the parents who attended the Ma ths Curriculum Evening at school. We apprecia te your input and it helps us wi th further planning with our goals in Mathematics. There are to be further Workshops next term on Numeracy to help parents understand the way Numeracy is taught in our schools and to give opp ortunities to ask questions and giv e practical ideas of how to help your children at home. Thank you for your co-operation in continuing to get your children to school on time, especially on these da rk and fro sty morn ings. I too have had many early morning meetings where I am havin g to negoti ate the wi ntery el ements. To date the children’s attendance continues to be very good despite the time of year. The School Disco is on this Friday. We ar e looking forward to this end of term treat with the ‘Black and White’ theme. Have a great fortnight. The School takes no responsibility for valuables such as MP3 Players, I- Pods, Cellphones, Jewellery etc . brought to school. These items are to be left at home. Cellphones are not to be used during the day at school except for the ones left at the Office for a special purpose/reason. BELL TIMES A reminder that the first bell goes at 5 to 9 in the morning with the second bell at 9.00am for the prompt start of scho ol. Road Patrols come in at 5 to 9 so children need to be here to cross before this time. 8.55am: Bell to be in class 9.00am: Instruction Begins 10.00-10.10am: Brain Food Break (children may eat health y food and/or wa te r in this break and ar e supervised by their Classroom Teacher) 10.10-11.10am: Instruction 11.10-11.25: Interval 11.25-12.30pm: Instruction 12.30-1.15pm: Lunchtime 1.15-3.00pm: Instruction REMINDER: Children are not to be at School before 8.30am. SCHOOL ACCOUNTS School Donation: $48.00 Activity Fee: $60.00 Consumables Fee: $21.00 Accounts have been sent out. Forms are available from the Office if you would like to set up an Automatic Payment. The School Donation is voluntary, but as you are aware, schools rely on the money collected from these donations to pro vid e mor e resour ces for you r childr en’ s education. Pay ment of this is much a pp reciated. Our cos ts have increased during the past year with rising petrol costs and the incr ease in GST.
