East City and Framingham Earl Area Children’s

Centre is a Sure Start Children’s Centre which is based on the site of Cavell Primary School. It is a centre which works with families who have children aged between 0 and 5 throughout the south part of the city, as far south as Brooke any family, no matter where they live can attend. We currently run activities and courses on a wide range of themes, from 14 different venues throughout our reach area. Unless otherwise stated, all activities are FREE at the point of contact. All you have to do is turn up and join in the fun! More details about each of the activities on offer, when and where they are happening, can be seen in the following pages.

‘The Base’ is a partnership organisation managed separately, funded by Barnardos and is based on The Hewett School’s site. ‘The Base’ offers activities and support for high school aged children and their families. Together we are currently building a range of activities which will enable both organisations to fully support our communities.
