ANNUAL DINNER The Northumbrian Mountaineering Club 2-3RD AUGUST INFO The NMC celebrates another year in style, in the fantastic Demesne Farm Bunkhouse. All full, prospective and aspirant members are invited to join what is traditionally a great evening of socialising and dining with plenty of opportunities for cragging, biking, walking or whatever takes your fancy over the weekend. This year we are holding the dinner at the Battlesteads Restaurant, famous for it’s amazing rural location and classic british food. Guests of members attending are very welcome! Activities: Climbing The Wannneys, Curtis, East Woodburn, Callerhues and Howlerhirst are all nearby. Biking The famous mountain bike trails of Kielder Forest are all on your doorstep. Walking For the walkers there are miles of empty moorland to roam around on. Kielder was voted among the Most Tranquil areas in the whole of the UK, making it the ideal place to spot some rarer birds and wildlife. Getting There: From Tyneside Take the A69 out of Newcastle for about 15 miles and one mile after the Hexham Roundabout turn right along the A6079 towards Wall. Follow this to the Military Road (B6318) crossroads and turn left. From here, follow signs to Bellingham. Just before Bellingham Bridge you pass the Camping & Caravanning club site on your left. The hotel is first left after the bridge. To get to Demesne Farm go through the village and turn right at Lloyds Bank the bunkhouse is 100mtrs on the right. Postcode : NE48 2BS Venu Guide
