We have been lucky to participate/run in the following events; Whole School Assembly, Welcome Morning Cuppa, Year 12 Focus Day, Swimming Carnival, Acquaintance Night, USE/SAPSASA Swimming Carnival, SLT Induction, SSSSA Swimming, Be Kind Day, Outdoor Ed Rock Climbing, Headspace Workshops, Clean Up Australia Day, Athletics Carnival, GRIP Leadership, USE/SAPSASA Athletics, School Casual Day, and SASPSASA Softball. So, if you are all thinking it has been a massive term and you are all a bit tired, then this is why. Throughout all of this, our students have been very positive towards their learning and will all get a very deserved break shortly. As I approach the end of my first term as Principal, I have been reflecting about the successes and challenges of this term. In all of the success stories, there have been a few constants. These constants are our amazing students and supportive staff and families. Our students are the reason we as staff enjoy coming into work each day. They are enthusiastic and inquisitive learners. The support from the community and Governing Council has been immense and is truly appreciated. Our staff are incredible. They are all caring and supportive and strive for the best from our students. Together, we have the right ingredients to continue to do great things at Lameroo Regional Community School and I feel privileged to be a part of this journey. I hope everyone has a happy and safe Easter long weekend and upcoming school holidays. See you after the break! Primary Assembly will now be taking place in Week 11 on Wednesday 7th of April at 12:20pm in the PAC (previously was scheduled for Week 10). A note has gone home regarding parent consent for early dismissal. This is a new Department form that needs to be signed and returned by the end of next week. From the Principal We are fast approaching the end of a very busy term jammed pack with learning and extra curricula events. 30th Anniversary of LRCS 2020 marked the 30th anniversary of Lameroo Regional Community School (formerly Lameroo Area School). Unfortunately due to COVID we were not able to celebrate this anniversary as a gathering of people. However, the Parent Club and Students Leadership Team are working together with a Go Fund Me Page to raise funds to continue to develop the secondary cover way. Please consider giving to this fundraiser, so that we can continue to develop this areas and commemorate the anniversary.

This BUS TRAVEL REQUEST SLIP must come to the front office to be noted and signed.

At least one day’s notice is required to process requests, to ensure there is an available seat for your

child. In the event where parents/caregivers contact the school on the day, the student still needs to collect the BUS TRAVEL REQUEST SLIP from the front office

prior to going to the bus.

The BUS TRAVEL REQUEST SLIP is then handed to the bus driver, giving permission for that student to

travel on a different bus or for the change of routine

CANTEEN At this time we are operating under modified processes, including: ≈ canteen is open TUESDAY, THURSDAY, FRIDAY

for recess and lunch orders and counter sales (QKR App or cash)

≈ canteen is available MONDAY, WEDNESDAY for counter sales only (CASH ONLY)

≈ no volunteers assisting at this time ≈ ≈ CASH is now being accepted for -

o counter sales at recess and lunch o recess special orders providing orders are

placed by 9am

≈ Lunch orders are strictly via QKR app. ≈ A limited number of students may be in the canteen

at any time, adhering to social distancing. ≈ Please remind your children when they have

recess/lunch orders as we are having an increasing number of orders not being collected. Uncollected food at the end of the day will be disposed of.

≈ ≈ Cancellations can be made via QKR before 9am or

you must ring the school after 9am to arrange this. ≈

We are operating with a full menu, which can be ordered and paid for using our QKR app. Instructions for loading the QKR app are available. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact the office.

Congratulations to all of our students, staff, volunteers, parent club and community for supporting the 2021 Sports Day. It was a great day, and the students demonstrated a great amount of persistence and determination throughout the day. I loved seeing our older students encouraging our younger students and the sense of sportsmanship was outstanding.

Thanks must go to Zara Keough and Craig Zerk for their hours of preparation leading up to the event. It is greatly appreciated.
