Term 2
Welcome back to Term 2.
This term is a time for students to build on their goals to achieve their best in all aspects of schooling. There are many extra curricula opportunities for the students across all year levels to be involved. These include Robotics clubs, Interschool Sport, Debating and Public Speaking, musical performances – NEVR concert and Winter Concert, ICAS competitions, Science Talent Quest just to mention a few. The school offers tutoring after school in Mathematics and English and VCE subjects.
Compass, Highvale Email and BYOD
Students and parents are encouraged to utilise Compass as it is the College’s information portal to check news items and Learning Task feedback.
Students also need to check their Highvale email regularly as subject teachers communicate via this avenue.
The BYOD program is very popular and I would encourage more students to sign up to utilise their mobile device. Feedback from students with their own BYOD device is that the system is quick, reliable and saves time waiting for netbooks to boot up, and they can organise their class work efficiently. The BYOD information books are available at the General Office and Sub school offices.
