RACE INFORMATION

THE MISSIONA portion of proceeds from this event will benefit the Fort Adams Trust, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit with a mission to protect and promote the historic places and public spaces at the gateway to Narragansett Bay and Newport. This includes directing and support-ing the stabilization, restoration, maintenance and operation of Fort Adams as a public historic site.

IMPORTANT NOTERunners can pick up their bib and timing chip on race morning, however it is strongly recommended that all runners attend Friday or Saturday registration to alleviate race morning delays and get the shirt size of their choice!

RACE INFORMATION

PARKINGParking is available at Fort Adams. Please allow yourself ample time on race morning to park and walk to the starting area, approximately half a mile from the designated parking areas. Please follow signs and the directions of the race volunteers on where to park.

Parking spots will fill up on a first-come-first-park basis with the spots closest to the starting area filling up first. (Detailed Parking Map on next page.)

GEAR BAG DROP-OFFAthletes wishing to drop off gear will be able to do so near the finish line beginning at 6:30 a.m. on race morning. A designated drop off location will be set up and athletes will use the number they are given during registration to identify their gear bag. Athletes will need their own bag as they will not be provided by the event.

AWARDSAge Group Prizes are awarded to the top finishers in each age group of the 10 Miler (the top 3). You must be present to receive your prize. There are no age group prizes for the 5k but the top 3 male and female winners will be recognized.

Participants compete in the following Male and Female age groups:Under 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+

START TIMESThe Newport 10 Miler will start at 8:00 a.m. and participants have three hours to complete the secured course. The 5k will start at 8:10 a.m. and participants have 40 minutes to complete the course.
