THURSDAY, AUGUST 18 Residence Hall Move-In/Check-In8 a.m. - Noon Various Locations

Please check-in at your residence hall any time between 8 a.m. and noon MST (please do not arrive prior to 8 a.m.). See the campus map for residence hall locations. Eagle Leaders, Resident Advisors, and members of CSC clubs and athletics will be available to assist with move-in, so this part will be quick and easy!

New Student Orientation: Official Check-In

8 a.m. - 2 p.m. Lindeken Clock TowerFollowing residence hall move-in/check-in, please proceed to the clock tower on the NORTH side of the Student Center (see the campus map). Official event programming begins at 2 p.m., so it is imperative you have checked in for NSO prior to this time. You will receive all official event materials at this time.

One-Stop Shop9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Student Center

Take care of last minute Eagle Business:• Request official major/degree program changes• Ask questions regarding financial aid & scholarships• Make online/electronic payments to your Fall

CSC Bill• Pick up your CSC Parking Permit • Meet with Student Health Services to submit

paperwork & ask questions• Visit with VA/Military Services and/or ROTC

Academic Advising/ Course Schedule Changes Student CenterMeet with an academic advisor for course schedule changes and general advising questions.

Pick up your Student ID Student CenterYou must have your photo taken and your Student ID picked up before Saturday. You will not be able to utilize your meal plan without it!

Technology Services Reta E. King LibraryGet assistance with network log in, MyCSC and EagleMail.

LunchLunch is on your own.

We encourage you to visit one of the many restaurants in Chadron.

Where’s my Classroom? Campus Tours

Noon - 2 p.m. Lindeken Clock TowerAdvanced registration is REQUIRED. You will have the opportunity to register during check-in, but it is required that you have access to your class schedule prior to going on tour.

Transitional Studies Session1 - 2 p.m. Memorial Hall

This session is REQUIRED for students in the Transitional Studies Program (TSP). Students asked to attend this session will receive an additional flier in their NSO materials with further details. For more information about the TSP program, go to csc.edu/orientation and click on Math & English Placement information.

Welcome to the Nest: Flying with Tradition

2 - 4 p.m. Dean’s GreenSTUDENTS ONLY

This is your first official NSO session! Discover your part in the history and tradition of Chadron State College. You and your new classmates will connect with current students to learn CSC traditions and the history that bind us together. Attendance will be taken!

Presidential Parent/ Guest Reception

2 - 4 p.m. Sandoz CenterPARENTS/GUESTS ONLY

Join CSC’s President, members of his cabinet and other CSC staff for light refreshments at the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center. Explore the exhibits, cool off and enjoy conversation with fellow Eagle Parents. Following the reception, parents and guests should proceed to Elliott Field.

Welcome to Chadron, NE! This event is co-sponsored by the Chadron Chamber of Commerce. Connect with the community members of Chadron while enjoying a street dance with live musical entertainment by Blue Street, a local CSC band. Located on *Bordeaux Street between 1st and 2nd streets. There will be fun activities for all ages, so you don’t want to miss it! *Eagle Leaders will be available to guide you to the event.

This REQUIRED session is full of information to ensure you have a great first year at CSC.Learn what our expectations are of you and what you can expect from us, now that you are an Eagle.

PARENT/GUESTS ONLYBe advised, the content and length of these sessions may not be suitable for young children.

It’s a Team Effort: Help us give your student the best CSC experienceLisa Stein, Director of Admissions, will introduce the topics presented and serve as moderator throughout the sessions.

Your New Eagle: Leaving your nest and joining oursDr. Pat Beu, Senior Director of Student Affairs, will discuss the important role you play in helping us sup-port your student during their first-year from a social standpoint. Students will experience many triumphs and tribulations throughout their time at CSC and if something goes awry, who are they going to call first? This session will provide an explanation of the pro-grams and services offered at CSC to assist students throughout this transition so that you are equipped with the knowledge to help your student seek any needed support.

Academics: The True Story About the Eagle Classroom The Academic Deans will explain the expectations of the Eagle Classroom, discuss the challenges your student may face in the college academic environment and how you can empower and help transition them into independent and successful Eagle students.

Parents of College Students: Panel Discussion Hear from other parents of college students. They will share tips, tricks and stories about their own experiences having college students.
