Third Sunday of Advent

And the Winner Is… Sheila Borton. Congratulations to Sheila Borton winner of the fresh

evergreen Advent wreath and candle holders. Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! A sincere thank

you to all those who supported Louis Cavallin, our World Youth Day Delegate to Krakow, Poland, and bought one of

his hand decorated Advent Candle Prayer Kits. We ask that you continue to keep him, his fellow delegates and the

success of World Youth Days in your prayers.

Please Pick Up Your 2016Offering Envelope Box located at the back of the

church. A new set has been issued for everyone who used them in 2015. Please carefully look for a box

with your name on it. Using these envelopes enables us to issue you an income tax receipt at year end.

Blank sets are available for those who wish to start using them in the new year. Some of you will notice that your

envelope # has changed. Those whose number was above 525 have been assigned a new number. Forms for those who

would prefer to participate in the Pre-Authorized Donation Program, which enables your donations to be directly

withdrawn from your bank account, are also available.

Sunday Collection Report: Received December 6, 2015: ►$5, 828.00 from 244 envelopes

►$480.05 from loose change ►Total: $6, 308.05.00 Your regular offerings help pay the bills to keep the parish alive!

The Giving Tree is Now Up. Please support a St. Patrick's Parish parishioner who may be

less fortunate this Christmas. Please take a gift tag from the Giving Tree and return the wrapped gift to the Church by this Sunday, December 13th. Please indicate the age group for the gift and note the content. Gifts will be delivered by our Knights of Columbus on Saturday, December 19th. Gifts

received after December 13th will be forwarded to the Inner City Home for distribution to those they serve. Parishioners wishing to make a monetary donation, towards the purchase of food vouchers, are asked to place the donation in an envelope marked "Giving Tree" Please add your name and address. Funds collected, beyond Christmas time needs, are used to provide assistance to parish families throughout the year. Thank you for your generosity.

You Were Asking??? Why do we not hear the name of our new Bishop Marcel Damphouse in the Eucharistic Prayer?

Although the Vatican announced his appointment a few weeks ago he is NOT officially the Bishop of the Diocese of Sault Ste. Marie until he is “installed” as such in special liturgy to be held on Wed. Jan. 13th, 2016 at his Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption of Mary in North Bay. There will be a reception for him in the Sudbury and Sault Ste. Marie regions to be announced shortly. Until then Bishop Plouffe is the administrator of the Diocese and Bishop Emeritus.

Support Group for Separated & Divorced: St. Patrick’s Church Support Group

for Separated and Divorced Catholics is having our 2nd session on Mon. Dec. 14th at 7 pm in the lower hall. We welcome all members of our community to participate.

Thank you ladies for attending our annual CWL Advent Social Luncheon, that was held Sun. Dec. 6th. We enjoyed a

A special thanks to all those behind the scenes like our CWL executives, Office Manager Michelle Bedard & Custodian Dennis Ongaro for their assistance. MERRY CHRISTMAS & A HAPPY NEW YEAR from your St. Patrick's CWL.

With Gratitude to the Funeral Luncheon co-ordinators for generously offering to pay for the recent

necessary repairs to the carpet around the altar area. The Diocesan Insurance Company recently did an inspection and came up with a list of safety issues that HAD to be addressed immediately. All were addressed and the carpet was the last item on the list. Cost of stretching the carpet was $1 ,000.

Messy Church… Dear Families: It’s time to “Mess Up” our Church! We are trying to introduce a Christ-centered” evening for families in May, and hopefully, establish ongoing Messy Church events in our parish. The evening will involve a themed story about Jesus, accompanied arts and crafts, and a child -friendly supper! Our goal is to open our doors to anyone who would like to participate in an Enjoyable evening. We have great ideas but need team support to pull off a Messy Church. If you would like to help get Messy Church started at St. Patrick’s parish, please call Loretta DiGioseffo at St. Patrick’s Parish, 705-522-3900 or e-mail at [email protected] . Also, this is a great way for teens to earn community hours or budding teachers to get experience. Minimal meetings in the new year and lots of fun are guaranteed!
