Please be aware and adhere to the Resi guest policy.

The full details of the policy can be found in the Residences Handbook:

A visitor is defined as a person who is meeting with a resident for a short period

of time, while a guest is defined as a person who is staying overnight with a resi-

dent.

Any non-resident who is present without a guest pass after noise curfew of

11pm will be required to leave the residences, and the resident responsible

for that visitor may incur a $50.00 charge.

The University reserves the right to charge an amenity fee to anyone staying

more than three nights in a 7-day period.

A guest must be accommodated in the host resident’s room, and not the lounge

room or other common area.

Residents need to organise a dated guest pass from resi reception. The guest

is required to carry the pass with them at all times.

The host resident is responsible for the behaviour and conduct of their guests.

The host is also responsible for informing the other people in their unit that they

have a guest staying overnight.

Why not challenge yourself to say hello and have a conversation

with just one person in the next week (on your level or BSV unit

block) that you don’t know at all or not very well. A healthy com-

munity looks after each other so why not check in with people you

live with to see how they are going with settling into uni life and liv-

ing on res!

Remember to keep your kitchen benches and floors clear from

clutter at all times. This ensures the cleaners are able to

wipe down surfaces and mop the floors as easily as possible.

It is also your responsibility to empty rubbish and recycling into

the shoots (MB) or larger bins (BSV) when they are getting

too full. Please do not wait for the cleaners to empty your bins

if they are filling up.

Please also clean up in any common areas such as the oven,

micro wave and stove tops when you are finished using

them.

This ensures that you and your fellow residents can live in a

hygienic and clean environment and stop the risk of pests

such as mice and ants
