Invitation and Workshop objectives
The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, the Russian National contact point for Research Infrastructures are pleased to invite you to the 5-th International Workshop and Exhibition entitled:
“Nanotechnology applications in the automobile industry and mechanical engineering.
High-quality research and advanced Research Infrastructures (RI) in Russia and EU”
The event will take place in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Rome (Italy) on October 1-4, 2012.
The workshop will be supported by the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and National University of Science and Technology “MISIS”
The main objectives of the event are to present:
- Russian large-scale RI in the area of N&N (unique scientific equipment and complexes, joint use centres) relevant to the automobile industry and mechanical engineering;
- Russian leading research centres possessing high potential for building new RIs (including e-Infrastructures) to the European scientific community and stakeholders;
- RIs’ strategy in the Russian Federation.
The event should provide a platform to exchange ideas; to discuss opportunities and challenges for stronger synergies between Russian and European RIs policies, plans for future EU-Russia cooperation, tackle common visions on the collaboration potential (esp. based on Grand Challenges areas).
