BUILDING A HEALTH CLINIC IN CANDELARIA

With the nearest hospital hours away, Nursing Heart and other non-profits, work with the Guatemalan people to bring clinics to their small villages.

They offer health care in several wellness centers in the San Martin region. Many adults and children coming to the clinics have never been to a

doctor. Plans for a large health clinic are underway in a rural area of San Martin.

Centro de Capacitacion (CECAP) in Santa Cruz la Laguna is a vocational education center offering classes in culinary arts, sewing, computer

education, carpentry, weaving, jewelry making, and English classes. The skills taught are intended to help children and adults attain marketable

skills in order to improve their well being.
