Target Audience & Needs The target audience for this song/band would be mostly teenagers and young adults , and slightly older people who like to listen to

metal and rock music , both genders could enjoy this band but mostly women who like to listen to ‘love songs’ with a metal/rock sound to them.

Lyrics (Meaning Implied?)

The lyrics of this song are talking about a girl, the lead singer sings ‘”she’ll be right here in my arms, so in love ,” this could mean that the lead singer is singing about a girl that he loves , and how he wants to protect her.

Tempo The tempo of this song starts off as quite slow, but then later gets slightly quicker, its quite a calm song at the beginning which later turns into something that makes people want to dance, and gets slightly abit more aggressive sounding.

Genre The genre of music for this video is rock/ metal or ‘love metal’ as the band describes themselves, the video is a performance video, throughout the video the main focus is the whole band performing in a glass cube , which has a girl walking around the outside where the singer is singing to her through the glass.

Camera Technique There is a large variety of camera techniques used in this video , the first one we come across in a close up of the guitarists guitar , this goes with the way the song starts off with the guitar at first then the whole band join, this gives the viewer a more personal bond with the band , because this shot is used to give the audience the idea that the band is performing just for them. After this shot a medium shot of the singer is used from behind him , which also shows his reflection in the glass in front of him and to his left., a medium shot is used again and it shows a female walking towards a switch which she switches on and then the whole band start performing. After this a long shot is used to show the entire band in the glass cube to show them all performing. A variety of medium shots are used when the singer then approaches the glass and starts singing to the girl on the other side who he can’t see. An aerial shot is used In the video where the camera starts panning across the drummer to get a better shot of him performing. Close ups of the singer are then used when he starts singing. An aerial shot is used again over the top of the singer and keyboard player. Low angle shots are then used when the singer starts performing to the camera.

Editing The editing used in this video is mostly cutting, which is used quite often in the video because of the variety of shots that are used

when shooting the band performing to get all of them in the shot from different angles, and then each shot goes from the lead singer towards the girl on the other side of the glass, back to the singer , then to the band, and this happens continuously.

Use of Digital Effects The digital effects used in this video would be the colour correction which would be using dark colour for the outside of the cube this making the band inside stand out to the audience. Another digital effect is the lighting which is quite low key on the outside at the begging of the video until the girl turns the switch on which then the lighting gets brighter where the band is performing while the outside is darker making the singer reflection in the glass stand out more.
