War is a behavior pattern of organized violentconflict marked by extreme aggression, societal

disruption, and high death. It involves two or moreorganized groups. Such a conflict is always anattempt at change eitherthe psychological hierarchy or the materialhierarchy of domination or equality between such

groups. In all cases, at least one participant(group) in the conflict perceives the need to eitherpsychologically or materially dominate the otherparticipant.

EFFECT OF WAR ON PEOPLE

It has different effects on different people. Some peoplemight have thought the war was good and that it was worththe loss of lives, while others may have thought that the warwas a scam to kill the brave young innocent men of Australia.There really is no real answer to "how does it affect people"

because each and every person has a different opinion andreaction to the war

There are no winners in war. There is only a high death tollon both sides and it's generally the general public that getsthe worst of it. War is terrifying to those that have to fight in

it as well as those that have to live through it as far as thegeneral population goes, and can cause a high rate oftrauma and, at times, even suicide.

ENVIRONMENTENVIRONMENT

Water

Damage to sanitation structures by frequent bombing, and damage to sewage treatment systems bypower blackouts cause pollution of the River Tigris. Two hundred blue plastic containers containing uraniumwere stolen from a nuclear power plant located south of Baghdad. The radioactive content of the barrelswas dumped in rivers and the barrels were rinsed out. Poor people applied the containers as storagefacility for water, oil and tomatoes, or sold them to others. Milk was transported to other regions in thebarrels, making it almost impossible to relocate them.

Air

Oil trenches are burning, as was the case in the Gulf War of 1991, resulting in air pollution. In NorthernIraq, a sulphur plant burned for one month, contributing to air pollution. As fires continue burning,groundwater applied as a drinking water source may be polluted.

Soil

Military movements and weapon application result in land degradation. The destruction of military andindustrial machinery releases heavy metals and other harmful substances.

PROPERTYPROPERTYUpon the occurrenceof a war, the main effect to note is that thedestruction of community property as aresult of violence forces. Among the public

property was destroyed buildings, schools, roads,railways, airports, ports, and so forth. Forthose who work asfarmers, crops, livestock transport and also lost asa result of the actions of coalitionforces is inhumane. Their goal is to see local

people suffer and live in poverty without basicamenities. Thus, war is a very painful thing forthose who've been there themselves.
