Fidelity Goal: By June 2017, math PlCs will establish guiding principles for each of their grade level PLCs and will meet weekly to discuss the different stages of PLC planning including review of the UBD and aligning the common formative assessments as well as daily teaching to align with the requirements of the county UBD.

Strategy

Teachers will be trained on the new CMP3 math curriculum and resources. Teachers will meet weekly in PLCs using the UBD as their guide to insure lesson plans and common formative assessments meet the needs of the students. Administrator will attend weekly PLC meetings in order to insure PLCs are following agreed upon guiding principles and insure PLCs are using the UBD to guide their instruction.

Data that supports the SMART Goal The 2015 -2016 EOG test results for Mount Pleasant Middle School reveal that the overall pass proficiency for students grade 6 – 8 was 49.3% Sixth grade math proficiency was 48.1% for the 2015 -2106 academic school year. Seventh grade math proficiency was 49.8% for the 2015 – 2016 academic school year. Eighth grade math proficiency was 49.8 % for the 2015 – 2016 academic school year.
